Remarks

The college provide good placement and internships from 5th semester. All faculties have 5 yrs of working experience. And also this college is under MAKAUT. So fees structure is very affordable. So I choose the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm currently persuing SBIHM course which I have mentioned before. The couse is been affiliated to maulana abul kalam azad university of technology or MAKAUT. Its a very good course for HM.The syllabus is very wide, providing a vast knowledge in all the subjects be it Food production, F&B, Front Office and Housekeeping.

Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are quite satisfactory as our college has been tied up with many reputed hotel brands and famous restaurant chains both in India as well as abroad like Taj group of hotels, Mariott International Group, ITC hotels, Oberoi group of hotels.

College Events

Campus life was the best. Cultural and technical festivals are common throughout the year. We have an annual food festival in which chefs and students from around the world come to our college for participation, our college also conduct cake icing competions, fruit carving competitions and other social events.

Actually Some of the Local Companies & Private banks Offer placements which are averagely worth 250000/-. Some of the Students appear for it , but the Number is Very less. Actually In Present Circumstances , Most students wants a stable Government, Especially Central Gov job . So they Prepare for exams like SSC , SBI , IBPS, LIC , RRB etc.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

My experience at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.
