Remarks

The campus is most beautiful than any other college under Vidyasagar University. The college has very big campus and green also. The college is also very close to my house. So I don't need bus fare. This is affordable for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

This college is Vidyasagar University undertaking and for this the course curriculum is good. The teachers are very experienced in their subjects and we get many notes before our exam which is very useful.

Course Fees: INR 12500 per year

Placement Experience

Job opportunities available but no warranty for campusing. Campusing is not available. Internships are not good.

College Events

Ocassions like basant utsav, saraswati puja etc held in our college. Fresher's party is very enjoyable in the college. Many renowned persons came. Many extra curricular activities also organized in the college.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.
