Remarks

I would say that my college is best in India and also comparable to best universities the world with good infrastructure it has given me a lot it has changed my life though my experience was not very good but it was fine.

Entrance Preview

IIT JEE , I scored 45 % marks in IIT JEE 2012 and I got Rank of 1227 in OBC Category and I got this branch through online counselling in 4 year Programme Leading to B.Tech in Engineering Physics.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I consider IIT Delhi course curriculum to be Best in the following points. Flexibility to learn at own personalized pace through implementation of credit system and flexibility to do course in any year and in any order of choice.Open category credits gives sufficient space to exercise once choice in unrestricted fashion by opting courses of any department humanities category courses are designed to provide proficiency in language.

Internships Opportunities

My college provides internships in various departments and programmes but these internships are generally not open to IIT students of same college But open for others and stipend is fair enough and vary from department to department and course to course.

Placement Experience

4

Placement and job opportunities are best for those who are good in coding or analytical skills or have good understanding of financial markets, But in Core there are also sufficient opportunities but the pay is lower as compare d to non-core one , But all depends on the interest of the students if someone is interested in core then the pay should not matter.

College Events

3.5

There are so many clubs and festivals which get organised in the college from time to time the most important ones are rendezvous, sperenza, literati, and many small inter hostel level events are organised to keep the interests of students alive, many events related to sports such as inter hostel football, hockey, painting, charcoal painting etc are at the heart of fine arts club and various events related to dance and dramatics are also organised.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Now the fee structure of IITs are recently revised by the government of india and though it is expensive with approx 25000 annual cost but at the same time there are so many scholarships which are paid to the needy student belonging to low income group and also there are provisions of free education fro students belonging to SC and ST category.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is education loan issued for needy students at 0% interest rate during the period of student in IIT delhi.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus is one of the best with all the roads and pavements well maintained and routinely cleaned with lot of greenary inside the campus gender ration is very less almost 6-8 girls per 100 boys, but there is alot to learn for one who want to learn there are lot of clubs like robotics, astronomy, aerodynamics etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

If not the best i would rate my hostel facilities to be average in the sense that there is 24 hr Net available in the hostels and the food is also good with lot of variations now the fee structure of IITs are recently revised by the government of india and though it is expensive with approx 25000 annual cost.

Alumni/Alumna

They are fairly helpful in guiding us in the first year when we are new in the IIT and they also help a lot in academics, also they help us in getting good jobs and preparing for the interviews there is student mentorship programme in which each 1st year student is assigned mentor.

Exam Structure

Our curriculum is divided in to courses and the whole responsibility of teaching course evaluation is 100% given to a faculty member called course coordinator and generally there is three exams in any semester and these exams are called minor1, minor2 and major with 25%,25% and 50% relative weightage.

Admission

Admission to Indian Institute of Technology popularly known as IITs is through joint examination carried jointly by all IITs called IIT -JEE which consists of two papers of 3hrs each , there are around 10000 seats in all iits including all branches , reservation is as per the government policy and after the exam based on the score there is unique rank provided to all.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is one of the best in my college but as there is always distribution in the quality of candidates as well as faculty so ,some faculties are very well and highly qualified and hold PhD degree from reputed foreign universities and they have proper research experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
