Remarks

I got myself admitted to this college for it's better infrastructure and faculties facilities. For an engineer, we get to do a lot of practical works right from 1st semester. Also for many co curricular activities which is available in the college.

Syllabus is updated.Yes. We were able to attend a lot of seminars in which many renowned personnels come to deliver a speech and interact with us students which is a great boon for us.The best faculty in my opinion is Dr. Arnob Bormudoi

Placement Experience

Many companies come to visit during the Placement Drive which use to happen every year. Such as Apollo Hospitals, Axis Bank, Flipkart, Amazon, and many more companies. About the startup, my friend has created an online shopping app deliverable to nearby the college area. The name of the app is FreshAll.

College Events

Every year our college organise a Varsity Week during the month of September -November. There's a festival usually held during the month of February too. In the festival, many events are being hosted by the college and lots of participants take part in the events like Dance Battle, Open Mic, Battle of Bands and more. They also host a Fbb Miss Campus Princess during this festival. Musical Night is also being hosted where renowned musician have come to entertain us such as the likes of Shirley Setia and Darshan Raval.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is quite good. We have one football ground, one basketball court, a swimming pool, a badminton court, a library with diverse books available of our choice. As for the labs, we have a number of equipments available for use in any branch of studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Digboi college and my experience through it .

Course Curriculum Overview:

There exists a good teaching staff that's why the course is very easy to understand also teachers give us good examples also do practicals so that's students understand the course easily . I see that there exist a low no of equipments in practical lab compare to it's students ratio so if they have a good no of equipments then all students get equipment to do experiment without any waste of time . Time is good as compare to marks and the first 30 marks are beginner level the other 40 marks are intermediate level and the remaining 30 Marks are advanced level questions in a question paper for the students they published.

Life in GIPS

Placement Experience:

In the 8th semister, students will eligible for campus placement. Our college will organize campus placement. Where different companies come and if you pass the interview then you will get the job. Companys like sun pharma, Ajanta pharma will come. And they have different requirements. In starting you will get 2.5 lakhs of the package and other offers are there. In GIPS most of the students get the placement. My plan after b pharm is I will study for M pharm in GIPS.

About my college

Remarks:

I didn't have any negative remarks until last year. So there was a mistake on my form fill up. I put the right details and selected my subjects. I have selected English as my MIL and submitted my form. But when I get the admit card I got to know that my MIL subject was selected as Assamese which I never selected. Then in the examination I gave the ex for English and didn't gave for Assamese as my subjects wasn't Assamese. I told the teacher who signed my examination copy he told that it will be fixed but on the results day I got to know that it was marked as absent in the MIL exam because I didn't sit for the Assamese examination which I did because I was English student. Then I asked them they said to get my sessional exam marks from the HOD of English department. I went to the HOD and she said that the copy in which they put the records is with the commerce head so I went to him. He said he didn't have the copy and told me to get to the HOD I went back to HOD she said she didn't have the copy. Both of them didn't have the copy for which I didn't able to fix the problem. It's not cool.
