Remarks

I had heard good reviews about the college from websites and an alumni too. The placements have always been good here. The campus is close to the industrial city of Chennai which allows us for various industrial visits and exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus was good and updated. Many people from the industry came to the college to give guest lectures. Most of the facilities were good and were interested in teaching. The labs are equipped with all new machinery. There are many labs.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 320000 per year

Placement Experience

More than 3000 companies visited the campus last academic year including Microsoft, PayPal, Intel, Deloitte.

College Events

There are two main events, the technical event called Techno it which is held in September - October and the culture event known as Vibrance held in early February. Both are huge with colleges from across the city and country coming in to participate. There are management festivals too.

Campus Life

There are many grounds for volleyball, hockey, cricket, box cricket, football, basketball among others. The library is huge with three floors and loads of books from academics and non academic too. There's a digital library too for the avail of students and teachers.

Hostel Facilities

There are mainly three blocks of hostel, A, B and C. A and C are the senior men's hostel while B is mainly for the Girls hostel. Both hostels are a few metres away from the academic buildings. The in-time is 7 pm for girls and 9 pm for boys. There are 2, 3 and 4 bed AC as well as Non-AC. There is a PG a few metres away from the campus itself.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

The curriculum is vast. But dental also deals with practical skills. So it's not that hard. The exams can be hard if you prepare at the last minute. But otherwise it's manageable. We write 3 IA and one final paper. And we get to write a mock paper before the finals. We'll be having model practical exams as well before the final practical exam.

Life of an MBA at VIT

All of us know VIT for its flagship program which is B. Tech but its MBA program is too good as well. I gave the CAT exam and secured 85 percentile which helped me in taking admission at VIT. NAAC accredited the university Grade A and it is ranked 51-75 for MBA/PGDM by NIRF in 2020. Another thing is the cost of study which is far less compared to other B schools.
