Remarks

Because it was in the same city as I live, and because it has a good reputation. Also the campus is pretty good, and has a high level of education. My chosen branch ECE has very good ratings in VIT Chennai. The college itself is ranked high in the NIRF rating.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum seems outdated. The ece students aren't offered enough programming courses. The faculties are also not so great. A few good professors are Dr Ravi V, Dr Chandrashekhar Nookala, Dr Manivannan A

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements and job opportunities are great. The minimum package is around 10 lakhs per year, and it goes up to 70 lakhs per year. All students are offered the chance to sign up for placements. Companies like Math Works, Amazon, TCS, Infosys come to recruit

College Events

4.5

There are always events being held in VIT Chennai. We have seminars, webinar, guest lectures and additionally, we have various clubs that always put forward games and events. The music and dance club regularly put workshops and concerts. The remaining clubs have events. The technical teams are great too, they win prizes over the world. The only bad thing is you need to pay a hefty sum to get into the teams.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is great. We have three hostels, two academic building, one big library, which has a wide range of books. The wifi is 50GB per month, but the speed becomes slow sometimes. The equipment in the labs are great.

The curriculum we have is set by the government so we can't change it but when it comes to an elective subject we can't choose it, the college decides it on behalf of the students. for a semester there will be 2 cycle tests a model exam and then the final exam. they will train you well so you can easily get above 80% in your final exam if you follow their instructions.
