Remarks

One of the best colleges for engineering in pune. It is the the best college for which i could get admission. There are other good colleges like PICT but this college is as good as any college in this category.

Course Curriculum Overview

VIT has one of the best course covering all the latest trends in computer science and it is up to date with the needs of job recruiters and industry proffesionals. Faculties are very helpful and despite these unprecedented times of Covid-19, they were really helpful through video call and whatsapp.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

Companies like Nvidia, Amazon, Deutsch bank and others often come to our campus and recruit students with package ranging from 20-40 lac.

College Events

There are two major cultural and technical events that occur in our college every year. Both these events have very large budget and consists of all the activities from technical to co-curricular and sports. They usually last for 1 week

Campus Life

Sports facilities are not the best but there is one volleyball court which is not perfectly maintained. Library is very organised with all the books that you need from fiction to study materials. Computers in Lab runs smoothly and are installed with all the programs and softwares needed for your course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 4th sem. Many companies visit and at least one person is hired by every company. Companies from UAE and international companies also make offers. Highest package was 9 lpa and average is 3.5-4 lpa. Only 5-10% students go for a job, others go for higher studies. I am too looking for a part time job with continuing higher studies. Overall the campus placement is good for students looking for a good job and pay. Most get hired as Assistant engineers.

Microbiology is mainly lab based work but it also teaches you other worldly things , the reason behind me choosing Bsc microbiology to do from ruia is because , once i had a talk to an alumni of ruia in which she mentioned that microbiology from ruia is basucally equal of engineering from an IIT. In microbiology particularly i would say the difficulty level is a bit high but only if you don't pay attention to daily lecs and practicals

Reality of VIT, Pune

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission. It could be less if you have alll required documents and fees has been already paid using mean like dd....Read More
