Remarks

The courses which I was personally interested were present in this institute. Also the faculty here is good and cooperative. The infrastructure is also quite good, including the labs. Even though being amidst the city boundaries, it is in an isolated environment, as the college is surrounded by trees.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college comes under the SNDT Women's University, hence the curriculum is exclusively for our college. It is not bound to any other universities. The faculties take the utmost care to teach and make students understand the syllabus.

Placement Experience

Usha Mittal Institute of Technology is one of the colleges which is visited by Barclays (A well-known MNC). Also the college has maintained its placement rate and also gradually increased. The college also encourages the students by having guidance sessions by the alumnae as well as others counselors.

College Events

Along with the academics, the college also concentrates on the extra curricular activities of the students. The main cultural event is conducted by the college for a week. Also other events are organised by the councils which include inter as well as intra collegiate events.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. LIFE AT USHA MITTAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

i applied in difffrent colleges like ST. Francis college of engineering, borivali , Atharva college of engineering , malad etc. I didnt make it there as being a student belonging to the open category the cutoff for my desired branch was a bit higher whereas my college provided me with an opportunity to be eligibible for my desired branch.
