Shreyas Anandpara's Review On Thadomal Shahani Engineering College - [TSEC], Mumbai

The fees taken by the college is 1.25 lakhs per year. Which is much more than any other college but the infrastructure facilities are at its worst. The college needs to look into it at th le earliest.

I took MHT-CET and got a score of 130. I was looking for getting into DJ Sanghavi or TSEC, DJ being my first priority. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get into DJ and secured my admission in TSEC. These two colleges are top in Mumbai for Computes and IT. Obviously VJTI above all, but it was out of my league.

The curriculum is as prescribed by the Mumbai University. The faculty is a mixture of good and bad. Depends upon the student how much he/she wants to take in.

No internship is provided by our college.

Placements are over 100% as normally students are offered more than one job. Decent companies come in with lowest package of 3.5L to maximum of 16L.

TSEC is known for its festivals. During my first year, every weekend was a festival. Major festivals are 9-10 per year. ISAAC organised by IEEE-TSEC is the largest inter college technical festival under Mumbai University with a crowd of 1k-2k per day. Trifles is the cultural fest organised by the council which also has decent craze. From this year there has been a bit decline in festivals because the principal has gone a bit strict. Still its much more than any other college.

No accommodation facility available. There are various PGs and hostels of various colleges and communities available at some reasonable distance from the college.

There are some of them available but I havent availed any.

It has the cream crowd of Mumbai so no problems as such. The gender ratio is also good. Everything is fantastic due to the large number of technical and cultural festivals every year.

You dont call them seniors in TSEC. They make you feel all are together. No senior - junior conflicts ever in TSEC.
