Remarks

Academics at So is good. The syllabus is made specifically for the students giving them space between holidays and study sessions. There are highly experienced teacher who solve each and every doubt of the students. Lab assistant also help a lot before the practical exam. College Infrastructure is great. Placement is decent here.

Course Fees: INR 116900 per year

Placement Experience

Placement is decent here. Barclays, Capgemini and few giant companies come here. The placement cell starts giving training to the students from the 3rd year. The college provides internship from the 2nd year. The syllabus has everything a student must know before giving any higher exams.

College Events

Although a day boarder, campus Life is great here. Each year events are held for the enjoyment of the students. Arcane is a very big fest of our college. Different councils are there in our college and every council have their own fest.

Campus Life

College Infrastructure is great but not best. The college has everything starting from smart projectors to wifi availability. Wifi is only available in the classroom. There is one common canteen and it provides great food at a minimal price.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. LIFE AT USHA MITTAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

i applied in difffrent colleges like ST. Francis college of engineering, borivali , Atharva college of engineering , malad etc. I didnt make it there as being a student belonging to the open category the cutoff for my desired branch was a bit higher whereas my college provided me with an opportunity to be eligibible for my desired branch.
