This college offers very good placements to Computer/IT Engineers along with a strong technical base. It is one of the most reputed colleges under Gujarat Technological University. The college along with the academic part believes that sports is equally important for the overall development of students. The college infrastructure is very well planned and It's is very suitable if you are from Vadodara as it takes just 40-45 mins to travel to SVIT from Vadodara.

The syllabus of Engineering branches is given by Gujarat Technological University as the SVIT is not autonomous. The paper comes from GTU and is checked by them. Academic plans are very well planned and the whole semester plan is provided to the students beforehand. The syllabus is updated whenever required, the latest being 2 years back. The Industrial exposure is provided to all the students through various industry trips, workshops and expert sessions. The computer Engineering faculties teach highly effective. All the faculties and the complete management is very encouraging and supportive.

The placements offered to SVITians are really very impressive especially to the Computer/IT engineers. There are pre placement Interviews,GD sessions, aptitude and coding rounds arranged by college Training and placement cell. The cells works really hard to ensure that the well deserved students bag the best of placements. Moreover the college encourages and supports many startups under SSIP plan of Gujarat Technological University. There's no specific alumni association, however the students are connected individually to their teaching faculties.

Well, Almost all the Indian festivals are celebrated in the campus. Prakash is the National technical fest of SVIT. Being celebrated every year in the month of February/March marks one of the awaited fest of SVIT. Students from all over the country are invited to participate in the various events and their accomodation and meal facilities are arranged by the college authorities. Vision is the inter-departmental technical and non technical fest of SVIT. All the first year students participate in various events under Vision (celebrated in the month of September)
