Remarks

This is a very famous college all over Gujarat state. The feedbacks of pass out students are really very impressive. There is good on campus placements offered. The college is located in Gujarat so the students of Gujarat need not travel long distances. Moreover It's very near to Vadodara city. Nearly 40 mins and the transport facilities (Bus) are also provided by SVIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

Courses and syllabus are as prescribed by Gujarat Technological University. The courses like Aeronautical, Mechanical, Computer, IT, ECE, Electrical and Instrumentation and control engineering are provided by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology. There are Practical session, theory sessions, doubts clearance session and digital classroom facilities offered by college. Enough industrial exposure is provided as per the requirement of course. All the faculties are very friendly and more supportive.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities is basically what makes this college famous all over the state. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Promact infotech, and Larsen and toubro come for on campus placements and hire the aspiring students. There are many other companies as well. According to the latest placement records there were 47 companies which came for placements for Computer department students and the highest package offered was 8 lacs. The College encourages and supports the student startups.

College Events

The biggest fest at our college is Prakarsh. Its being celebrated since past 15-16 years. There are many technical events organised for 2 days continuously from morning to evening. All the participants come and enjoy various events. Almost all the Indian festivals are celebrated at SVIT, especially all the students enjoy Playing Garba in the campus during Navratri. There is annual fest called Malhar for appreciating the students for their excellent performance in various fields and also many cultural programs are taking place.

After 4th year, students are eligible to sit for placements. Some students also receive a pre-placement offer in the 4th year itself. The students are first prepared for day zero, i.e., placement day, beforehand by conducting a mock interview, which is a voluntary session conducted by the placement committee. CV Vetting workshops are also conducted in the eighth semester because at the end of the 8th semester, the placements are made where tier-1 companies like Khaitan, AZB Partners, CAM, SAM, Trilegal, etc. In-house firms like Adani, ICICI Bank, Tata, and more come for recruiting students. Some students sit for placement; others who want to prepare for government exams like judiciary, UPSC, Public Prosecutor, etc. refrain from sitting in placements.

Current Details of SVIT

Honestly I targeted SVIT, because it was near by vadodara, easy to travel and timings were also good enough to get adpoted with. The fews structure and environment their is much better than other colleges. The admission process is through ACPC, vacant quota, management quota and SC/ST quota. I got admission through vacant quota after 2nd round of ACPC. The cutoff for ACPC in Computer Engineering at my admission time was 5000. And for vacanct quota it was extended to 9000 after 3rd round of ACPC . The admission process was smooth. Also every year, mock GUJCET is taken in college and top scorer gets waiver on fees ....Read More

The SVIT journey

I applied in PDPU(PDEU) and Lj university ahmedabad. I chose this college because 1) It is one of the best and renowned college inour region 2)The feels is comparatively too less.Yes my application in Nirma University(ahm) got rejected because i couldn't clear the cutoff of CSE of that college.The admission process in SVIT is simple you if youre alloted seat through ACPC or you need to visit the campus for management quota.The exams required here are 12th PCM and GUJCET or JEE.The exam most preferred here is GUJCET as it is simpler than JEE the cutoff of SVIT for CE was 7000 rank (GUJCET) this year....Read More
