Remarks

SVIT, Vasad stands 7th among all the colleges of Gujarat Technological University. It is a semi-government college hence fees in not high. The college infrastructure is very well established. This is a very trusted college having completed 22 years since its establishment. The whole Management is highly supportive and encouraging. There are excellent placements offered in the computer engineering department.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum and syllabus is provided by Gujarat Technological University as this college is non-autonomous. The college puts every effort to enhance the skills of each student. One such initiative is the Fundamental Technical Knowledge online test taken every semester which counts towards the final result. Much industrial exposure is provided to students of all departments as per their requirement through industrial trips, workshops and expert talks. Computer department faculties are always ready to help the students.

The placements offered to the computer department students are really very good. Every year around 100 companies come and participate in the on campus hiring process and select most of the students. In past few years TCS has been very actively hiring the students with a basic package of 3.5 lacs. The college supports and encourages various small startups by the students and SVIT also provides guidance to the students for the same.

College Events

There are basically three large events/fests celebrated every year at SVIT. Prakarsh is the National Technical fest of SVIT. Wherein many students all over the nation come and participate into various events. Accomodation is provided along with the meal facility. Vision is the Inter-Department fest of SVIT. Here many technical and non-technical events are organised by the college. Malhar is the college annual day celebrated with lot of cultural events giving joy to the students.

Hostel Facilities

Days scholar. Thogh I am a days scholor I used spend some time with my fellow mates in hostel. There's the most peaceful atmosphere. .

After 4th year, students are eligible to sit for placements. Some students also receive a pre-placement offer in the 4th year itself. The students are first prepared for day zero, i.e., placement day, beforehand by conducting a mock interview, which is a voluntary session conducted by the placement committee. CV Vetting workshops are also conducted in the eighth semester because at the end of the 8th semester, the placements are made where tier-1 companies like Khaitan, AZB Partners, CAM, SAM, Trilegal, etc. In-house firms like Adani, ICICI Bank, Tata, and more come for recruiting students. Some students sit for placement; others who want to prepare for government exams like judiciary, UPSC, Public Prosecutor, etc. refrain from sitting in placements.

Current Details of SVIT

Honestly I targeted SVIT, because it was near by vadodara, easy to travel and timings were also good enough to get adpoted with. The fews structure and environment their is much better than other colleges. The admission process is through ACPC, vacant quota, management quota and SC/ST quota. I got admission through vacant quota after 2nd round of ACPC. The cutoff for ACPC in Computer Engineering at my admission time was 5000. And for vacanct quota it was extended to 9000 after 3rd round of ACPC . The admission process was smooth. Also every year, mock GUJCET is taken in college and top scorer gets waiver on fees ....Read More

The SVIT journey

I applied in PDPU(PDEU) and Lj university ahmedabad. I chose this college because 1) It is one of the best and renowned college inour region 2)The feels is comparatively too less.Yes my application in Nirma University(ahm) got rejected because i couldn't clear the cutoff of CSE of that college.The admission process in SVIT is simple you if youre alloted seat through ACPC or you need to visit the campus for management quota.The exams required here are 12th PCM and GUJCET or JEE.The exam most preferred here is GUJCET as it is simpler than JEE the cutoff of SVIT for CE was 7000 rank (GUJCET) this year....Read More
