Remarks

We are going to face various challenges in future with respect to our environmental issues, so I wanted to learn engineering in Environment. KIT is the only institute in Maharashtra which provides B.Tech in Environmental Engineering, so this was the reason to choose KIT college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus is updated to the required factors in present situation. Some of the concepts are old but these concepts are just to clear some doubts. Dr. Akshay Thorvat is the H.O.D of Environmental Engineering branch. He is so helpful that I have never meet such teacher who is so helpful.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 90537 per year

Cummins is the company who visits our college. Also some of the students have placed at Finolex pipe company.

College Events

College holds various extracurricular activities. It has various committee formed by student to conduct various programme. Committee like Walk With World (WWW) is one of my favourite committee. It conducts sessions for personality development. International Student Conference is also conducted by WWW, where eminent personalities have attended it.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is quite good, sports facilities are not much, no faculty or sports teacher is particularly assigned for each sports. Wi-Fi is available in campus,library is having various books, also virtual lab facility is also availed, equipments in labs are old, but they are trying to upgrade the equipment.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

An underrated college in kolhapur

I chose this college because the fees is very affordable and the return on investment is good. Placements are also fine and they are improving every year. I had 93 percentile in mhtcet and I had plenty of other options like dy Patil akurdi pune, sinhagad college pune etc. The admission process is by mhtcet and jee.
