Remarks

I can say that my college management should see the real problems facing by the students rather than only making money. There is a lack of good labs and instruments should be there which is working not just for show. All our teachers should be replaced by good faculty which knows atleast basics so that we can understand it better. There should be time event for many extra co curricular activities which is essential for a healthy and good life. Odd seminars should be conducted or even organised within students so that some innovative ideas could prevail and atlast there should be good food which should be eat able so that student dont have to depend on maggi. We dont attends labs because of lack of basic infrastructure in the lab. Not even a single machine or components used to work. Just used to go there and see the machines ourself. Not even a lab attendent to see us .But only welding lab was very good where we had spent good time and learnt a lot really from the bottom of my heart. It was good .

Entrance Preview

I had given AIEEE 2009 and was abled to secured 86142 rank all india. Thus I was selected on the basis of my rank. I am having interest in machines from my childhood days and thus selected Mechanical Engineering. I was selected on All India basis seat allocated to me.

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

Well the course was good throughout the four years because we had study them thoroughly and was not taught by faculty It was good experience as we were now able to study any subject on our own. All the faculty members were not up to level of college except 2 to 3 teacher only.

Internships Opportunities

There was not an environment for conducting any internship. The students in our college didnot got any internship as it was not there. All we can do was the summer training in our own expense. So there is not a question of any stipend as we had not done any internships at all.

Placement Experience

0.5

The placement was only 49 in our year and only TCS came and taken IT,CS, and E&TC student only. There was not any opportunity for core branches students. TCS came and offered 3.2 lakhs p.a rest all were depended on offcampus.

College Events

0.5

There were only yearly function once held every years thats it. We students used to make a tournament for cricket. Rest be sure not even single event is going to be celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In our time fee structure was good or we can say that ok. In our time our yearly fees were Rs 69000 But our juniors used to give around Rs 95000. Now it may had even went up higher.

Fees and Financial Aid

I think there was scholarship for OBC and SC,ST student from their respective state as I had saw their names on notice board. No I had not availed any scholarship as I am from general category.

Campus Life

0.5

There was not so workshop or any healthy environment to pursue such activity as college management were completely ignorant. Yes there was an annual meet in cricket from all the years. We used to see that In generally even that was rigged as only fourth year used to win because umpire takes their sides. Beside this one robotics session was held when was in 2 year i.e 2010. After that I hadnot heard about something like that anymore.

Hostel Facilities

1

Hostel was good as it was the only place where we used to get together with our friends and study or do fun. It was the only thing which I misses alot till now. In our hostel in one room 3 students used to live each having our own godrej and common bathrooms for all the students from the same floor where we used to live. And the worst part was the food that was given to us in the hostel. Food was like hell as there was not any taste at all in it. Only chicken used to be our favourite food in our hostel because of its gravy.

Alumni/Alumna

Our college faculty were not like teachers. They even dont know the basics. Sometimes we used to correct their mistakes. Some teachers were pursuing M.Tech and just used to teach us so that they can get some experience. Our seniors were the only one who used to help us if we got some problems to ask . Whether it was an advice for exams or for some important questions they were like our marg darshak. We used to get even some books from them which they had studied. So it was very helpful for us.

Stduents get eligible from 5th semester for placements peaking at 6th semester of the college. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Tiger Analytics etc came but big pacakge placements offers are low . The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Curriculum is like ok for an govt engineering college not like an iit/nit. There are many departments where equipments are very old & haven't changed for a long time. Exams are conducted very fast like mid sem is conducted in 1/1.5 months and end sem is in 2 months

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
