Remarks

I chose K.K. Birla Goa campus over all other colleges because of its no reservation and zero attendance policy. The BITS Pilani campus has a well-planned campus, libraries and hostels. It also offers a unique concept where students can take tutorials from their various teachers. Its cultural event Grubs is quite popular in engineering students

Course Curriculum Overview

Birla Institute of Science & Technology, Goa was established in 2004. It is one among the other four campuses of BITS Pilani which is managed by Aditya Birla Group. Considered to be one of the premier institutions in India, it has gained great name in the education field. It is duly recognised by University Grants Commission

Placement Experience

4.5

Nearly 150 large and medium-sized companies visit BITS Pilani's Goa campus every year to recruit students. Considering the alumni salary statistics (2016-18), the median salary offered in BITS Goa placements drive for BTech as well as MTech programme has ranged between Rs 6 to 7 LPA.

College Events

4

There are a lot of extracurricular activities on the campus, ranging from fields of Sports to Art to Music. Throughout the year, there is some or the other activity going on which will keep you occupied apart from the academics. Not to mention the well knows fests of the campus : BOSM (Sports Fest), Oasis (Cultural Fest) and APOGEE (Technical Fest)

Placement Experience:

Students can start sitting in placements from the start of 4th year , when the Placement Division starts bringing companies to the campus. The average package for CS is around 20-26 LPA, for Electrical branches it's around 18-24 LPA and for Mechanical and Chemical it is around 13-16 LPA. These figures would've changed though from the last time I saw. Around 85-90% of the students get placed usually. Top notch companies like Google, Microsoft , DE Shaw, Arcesium Cohesity Rubrick recruit students every year for the tech roles and other prominent companies like Flipkart, Sprinkle, Intuiut and Coin Switch come for managerial roles as well. There is even a chance of getting a PPO through Summer Internship Program which kikstarts in the 3rd year where students compete to get internship in these top companies. Overall , BITS Goa has impeccable placement statistics
