Remarks
About the course, I actually wanted to choose mechatronics but it wasn't available in majority colleges back at that time given my cet & jee score, hence I chose e&tc because electronics was my favourite & embedded systems was my focus. I chose RSCOE because it was the best that I could get considering my marks, and also due to the fact that there was an active robotics club & Robocon team.
Course Curriculum Overview
New syllabus has been implemented since last year (due to autonomy) the syllabus has been created with the leading industries and gives a lot of industrial exposure not to mention that the college has signed up an MoU with a few Universities in Malaysia, Thailand, etc for student exchange programs.
Internships Opportunities
1) Ollivander robotics, software & hardware intern, (work related to warehouse robots, on ROS), stipend 5k/month. (Through different professional sites eg. LinkedIn, etc) 2) tinybots ess. Pvt. Ltd, stem robotics teaching for school kids, stipend - 400_ per lecture, through an old acquaintance.
Placement Experience
TCS, Kpit, general electric, capgemini, zensar, Infosys, etc and a few Japanese companies as well (and they provide high packages provided you know japanese till level N3 atleast, japanese optional course is provided in college as well, extra fees are required for it) The entrepreneurship development cell (Ed-cell) is highly active and is coordinated by very good faculty, our college also came in the top 25 colleges accross india in private sector, according to ARIIA rankings 2020
College Events
Cultural - gandharva (not too good, there's lack of dignity I feel sometimes) Non technical - (during Gandharva/Innovision, there are many sports competitions held indoor & outdoor as well and they are great) Technical & management - Innovision, whole college conducts(all depts)(whole state level, best opportunity for students to gain event management experience, if done properly the event can get a huge attention and great experience will lie ahead.) There are few others as well conducted by individual departments. For extra curricular activities, the college gives full support and in order to do those it is highly recommended to join clubs where you'll get exposure to events accross india that are know to the seniors
Campus Life
Library is adequate with most of the necessary material for the courses offered, although for reference of some new and upcoming tech like ROS, etc is less hence you'll need to find it out on the net. Wifi coverage is great and offers a good speed of over 70mbps. Labs are fine w.r.t the syllabus practicals coverage(there's a specialised TAL robotic arm lab though and more are being constructed), sports facilities are adequate as well, although there's not specialised ground/court for specific sports, there's just one ground common for everyone. Overall infrastructure - good (3.5/5)
