Remarks

I have always wanted to be a part of the hotel management program given my passion for good food and service. I chose IHM Bhopal since it was nearer to my home along with being a government institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was very informative and compatible with current hotel and tourism industry. Faculties were inclined towards a more holistic development of students than just following an academic calendar. All over it was good

Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Placement Experience

Very good. The placement cell is very active and has numerous connections with big brands such as Oberoi Marriott Taj Leela etc. Training and development department heads are very helpful and want the best for students

College Events

It was real fun. We’ve had lots of extra-curricular and intra-curricular activities. Competitions like debate and cocktail making were very often. Most of the time we spent preparing for these cultural programmes which made friendships stronger and made us more confident of ourselves.

Campus Life

Slightly unorganised and not up to date. The library was small and used very occasionally. No sports ground in the college campus but all the sports were conducted on a nearby ground and college hostels. All three kitchens were enough to make us learn to cook basics. Not advanced

The Placement us not too good but not too bad as it provide average package of Around 700000 INR , Student become eligible in 7th Sem for sitting in placement Cell. They need to score 7+ CGPA for become eligible for placement . The highest package was 39 LPA In The Year 2022. Student got placed percentage was 38%.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average here not much to expect. Only expect around 2 lakhs something per annum. Companies visit not so often on this campus, upon completion of degree you have to inform professor that you're willing to sit for placement only then companies will be called. Final semester students are eligible for placements. Other information about placements is not much disclosed by our department. My plans after getting degree is to simply opt for masters degree.

From last year the students are eligible for the campus placements . Most famous named companies are there Accenture, Axis Bank , Infosys, HCL technologies, wipro etc. Highest salary package is 72 LPA this top package has been secured by high performing student Average package is 5.30 LPA. 70 to 77 % of students placement My plans are that I will work under some senior advocates initially and prepare for PCSJ exam.
