Remarks

I always wanted to be a doctor from my neet results I was sure I will not get admission in govt. mbbs college, So I opted Ayurveda. There are only 3 govt ayurveda colleges in Kerala, pariyaram ayurveda college is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is really good, lot to study. It is a 5 and 1/2 year course with 1 year internship. 1st year disection of human body clinical posting starts from 2 nd year. Faculties highly qualified with teaching experience.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Placement Experience

There is no campus placement, some people opt for Post graduation so try a different course to enhance there study as some start there own clinics and some go for PSC coaching to get government jobs.

College Events

Union day, Christmas celebration, Onam celebration, arts, graduation ceremony, inter college arts, eid celebration, volly ball match, college tour, batch tour, study tour, most of the students practicpate.

Campus Life

It is a huge campus with hospital, men and ladies hostel, play ground. No WiFi, with a good library, equipment in lab, BP apparatus and stethoscope 1 for group of 2; Microscope 1 for a group of 5. (1 year). 2 nd year onwards you should have your own stethoscope, BP apparatus, CNS kit.

Hostel Facilities

Ladies hostel is crowded now. construction of a new block has been started 1 years and house surgeons stay at doormatary rest of the batch 3 person per room. study hall available. has a separate mess hall.

Placement Experience:

There is a good placement cell in RIT Kottayam. From the 6th semester onwards students got placement training and career guidance classes and there are various clubs to improve your aptitude and chances to get the job through placement. The major recruiters of the campus are Oracle, Microsoft, Allianz, MRF, IDBI Bank, Infosys IBM, TCS, VVDN, WIPRO, Suntec EXPERION etc. There is about 75 % of students get placed every year. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

The hostel and college infrastructure are a little poor compared to other colleges but it is expected with the minimal fees given. There are a lot of festivals and programs and a healthy political atmosphere. The non violent conflicts between the two opposing parties lead to good development in the college.
