Remarks

Since my childhood I was fascinated about how the cellphone or our computer works. Electrical engineering was always my passion since I was a teenager. I choose these college because of its great placement statistics and reputation. I have a heard a lot about this college, about faculties, about the curriculum from my elder brother. I love the system very much. I love the faculties, the environment, the festives of the college very much.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well planned. The books mentioned are excellent. The faculties are extremely helpful and the labs are well set. However there are some times when the lectures aren't held with that much discipline. This needs to be checked.

Placement Experience

Bajaj, centrum, honda are some of the creams of the cake. Decide this hundreds of companies visited our college. The alumi network is very strong and provides information about company and also motivates us during hard times through alumni channel.

College Events

The college is well involved in extra curricular activities and it celebrates festivals, days of national importance well. The faculties are helpful abd co-ordinate with the student body to conduct the event smoothly.

Campus Life

The infrastructure in the college needs special appreciation. The labs are well equipped with all the instruments well setup. The library have all the books recommended by our faculties. The Wi-Fi facilities is good but sometime it's very difficult to watch a youtube lecture and speed upgradation is required.

Hostel Facilities

The infrastructure in hostel is good. Room are big enough to accommodate 5 student. The lighting and airing is nice. Washrooms are clean. There is no geyser in the washroom, so in winter season we find it difficult to take bath in morning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

students get placemetns from the 5th semester and are also give training for a month. more company enter my college like tata ,mahindra, honda and etc. if you have good marks in you six semester and you answer the questions correctly , the company may offer you a high package,and you can also demand you package. for mechanical engineers 100%,electrical engineers 75%and other branch68%. i will work in the company after getting the degree

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More

GPAT score is what taken into account and in 12th 60% or more is mandatory. Also JEE scores are considered but again baby IITs level of score is required and therefore students mostly come through GPAT here....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
