Remarks

The college management is too much supportive and the staff behaviour is quite not upto the mark.

Entrance Preview

I cracked the All india Engineering entrance examination in the Year 2007 with rank of 3753 and the state rank from rajasthan was 758 rank. I decided to choose the college because of BRAND IIIT and good campus and good placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was excellent in the college especially for computer science branch. I did the mastery of my branch from there just because of the environment over there and the reputed faculties in the college and helping out in the various fields.

Internships Opportunities

Yes college provide internship to the various students. It provides iternship with the companis like capital iq,amada and whose stipends varies from 3000-10000 rupees but they provide a good platform for learning as well as to compete in the corporate world.

Placement Experience

4

There are lot of companies visiting the college private sector companies and public sector companies which provide a healthy package depending on the performance of student by testing their overall skills. There are lot of companies visiting the colleges like BEL,BHEL,TATA tele,Infosys and many more companies.

College Events

4

There are lot of events celebrated in the college. Some of the Mega events celebrated in the college are Tarang in which the colleges of the whole city are invited and there is also a sport fest known by name of gusto in which some of the national college are invited and technical event abhikalpan is also there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is nominal as it is goverment subsidised college. The semester fees is nearly about 25000 rs per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a central government funded college there is a scholarship program for the students based on the merit scored by the students. Different categories of scholarship is being provided by the college for different categories of students meeting their given criteria.

Campus Life

5

There are lot on campus life ratio of female to male is not quite high but it is upto the mark and there are lot of debate competition and robotics competition such as robotics competition and sports event as gusto. Beside these there are also lots of cultural activities are also there.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is equipped with all the modern aminities and very well built but the mess food is not good the quality of food is not upto the mark though the charge for the food was quite high and the vendors are not providing the quality of food and rest was upto the mark. The hostel facilities are too good single room to each student with a beautiful campus but food quality is too worst and cost also a lot 3000 rs per month that also includes a sunday meal as off.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are lot helpful they insist or guide the students even outside the campus. There are lot of alumni who are even working outside the India and they whenever get any opportunity which can be provided to students they are always sharing the information with them.

Exam Structure

The course curriculum is designed so that student gets to know the basic knowledge of various departments and mastery over the branch selected in the college. The exam structure consists of 2 Test one mid term test and one final term test for each semester which checks your subject mastery.

Faculty

4

The faculties are well qualified and best trained in their subjects. Most of them are either post graduate or pursuing post graduate and the most important thing is that for each subject a dedicated faculty is there so subject can be lectured very well.

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
