Remarks

Close to my place. I can reach my college by walking distance. And since my college is famous for its huge campus and the laboratory are filled with specimens so i had opted for this course so that i can not only learn but actually see those things infront of my eyes.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would say the course should include more of practical things were the students would be able to see those things now rather than printing its picture on textbook won't help. Even some textbooks need to double check the spellings that has been printed.

Class Size: 27Course Fees: INR 4000 per year

Placement Experience

The job opportunities for this particular course isn't that great yet unless you are planning to opt for Masters course or for some other courses. Other wise the students usually go for some job that isn't related to this course i.e. Back office or for Medical representatives i.e. MR

College Events

The Events that are held by the college still needs to work on lot of stuffs for example crowd managing, need volunteers who would strictly examine everything rather than getting involved with the students themselves. The departmental fests are good one but needs to be popularized more in different colleges since the participation rates aren't that high.

Campus Life

The campus is really good with lots of greenery that you would hardly get to see in any campus of Mumbai College. The only problem is with the crowd since outsiders are allowed and their is no particular restrictions or rules for them it becomes a nuisance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this college is under mumbai university so this college cannot modify syallbus in their own the have to strictly follow the university prescribe syallbus,academic timelines,rules and norms of the mumbai university. I have taken the admission in this college in the year 2024 from this year the NEP-2020 was adopted by the every indian universities and instituites. Since NEP-2020 was adopted also by mumbai university some new subjects are added to the syallabus that are oriented to financial literacy,Entreprenuianl,indian laws related subjects the syallubus of this subject is very good to see in the syallabus pdf. But the ground reality is different this subject is not given much importance by faculties the are treated as not much important subject as their are not related to our course as a result the students also take these subjects lightly.Also the professors appointed for this subjects are not much good they appoint the faculties who are recent graduates of their college who are working now as a professor in the same college. The college treat this subject lectures as an practice for the fresh faculties to gain experience of how to teach students. The core subject syallbus is same not changed the mumbai university has just changed the name of the subject. The college professors just teach the subject but they do not teach in that way that it makes us ready for real world problems.And also in the first year all the subjects are common for all the branches of the engineering which consist of subject like physics,chemistry,mechanics,Basic electrical Electronics,Engineering Graphics. It is my opinion why should an student who is studying an course called Computer Engineering so why should i read the subjects of the other branches like civil,mechanical,electrical and electronics in my first year instead of my domain subjects for whole two semester and the timespan of almost an year

Dell, Oracle Tcs and many more such companies have visited the college The highest package is 50 lpa for MCA in computer science while the highest for B.TECH CSE is 44.14 lpa. Many good companies such as J.P. Morgan and Goldmann sachs have also come here for placements. The average package is 6lpa. Approximately from Computer science across 70 to 80 percent students are getting placed every year. After my B.tech Degree I would be pursuing my Masters degree from abroad.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.

The college campus is very big and there are many buildings on the campus like a science building, arts building, and police camp. There are two hostels one for boys and one for girls and it helps the students to live there and studies there. And the main thing I like is the atmosphere and the nature of the college is very healthy and steady.
