1. Rank in CGPET 2. It is the 2nd most preferred college in Chhattisgarh for engineering 3. Feedbacks from passouts. 4. Placement records are good 5. Cultural festivals and events here are good 6. Faculties are good. 7.Its in my home town

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is like most of the engineering colleges in India. Not something extraordinary is present in the curriculum. Faculties are good they try their best to help students in academics. Moreover unlike other colleges here in this city I think faculties are relatively more good here.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory. Its like one cant expect much but its easy to get placed in companies like tcs, tech m etc

College Events

Campus is more inclined towards cultural side. SAMVID is the name of tech fest which takes place every year. And students from various colleges visit the events organised in it. Besides that each branches conduct their own department based events which comprises of both tech and non tech events.

Campus Life

Sports facility is satisfactory. Various outdoor games courts are inside the campus here like basket ball, cricket etc Library has enormous quantity of books and one can access about the availability of books digitally. Lab equipments are satisfactory. Top notch equipments are missing though.

My college, My Expeience

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is one of the few programs that focuses on solar, energy management, and practical renewable technologies, which is why it feels more meaningful, modern, and job relevent compared to other traditional degrees. The curriculum prepares students for Solar PV technician roles, site supervisor, renewable project coordination. Students can comfortably move into M.Tech. M.Voc. Even though the curriculum is strong, some updates would make it more competitive. Some classes are still theoritical. Improvement is required in teaching methods. Internships should be compulsory, longer and tied to known companies. Each semester includes internal assessment 1 and 2. Final semester exam and practical exams are included. Questions are usually from the syllabus, PYQs. Practical exams are straightforward if you attend labs. Pass percentage is high.

Life at GEC Raipur

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible to appear for campus placements which starts towards the end of their 7th semester. Companies that visited for Civil Engineering: L&T, Adani, Stratview Research, PlanetSpark and several local firms. The highest packages were offered by Adani (approx 7 LPA) and L&T (6-7 LPA). Around 5-7 students received placement offers from the mentioned companies. It is important to note that a lot many students did not sit for campus placements as they had different career aspirations (government jobs, higher education, business ventures etc.) My plans were to prepare for upcoming competitive government exams as well as try my hand at something different and creative
