Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is everything you can ask for. In the last year of the graduation, you are assigned to a village and you get to apply all the theory knowledge into a real field. You also get to learn from a farmer, and believe me, it is the best experience in your college life. In third year, you get to grow crops by yourself in a field. This makes you understand the practicality of the subject better.

Fees and Financial Aid

They yearly fees of the college was taken in two semesters. One semester had approx 6000 as the tution fees and 1500 as the examination fees. Therefore, yearly a student has to pay almost 12,000 as tution fees and 3000 as examination fees. The schoalrship was given for merit, categories like OBC and ST/SC, sports and NCC quota.

Campus Life

3

I would say my campus life was "exciting but boring". Exciting in terms of studies and practicals, boring in terms or extra-curricular activities. The college is so big that sometimes you don't get the memo of the exhibition happening in the seminar hall, if you get the point. There were no major functions other than study seminar and professor lectures and it made my college life boring. But the exciting part was that the classes made you engaged to your studies.

Admission

Due to pandemic in the same year, I was not able to move cities. Therefore, i selected this college because it is the best one in the state if you want to study Agriculture. I always wanted to study plants in my college or zoology of the options were open. The college is in the campus and best one in the university. you get a lot of exposure from the university curriculum by being in the campus.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio of the college was upto standard. The classes were also regular with both practical and theoritical knowledge. The faculties are experts in their own field so you need not to worry about if they are teaching you right or wrong. Also, they are very helpful if you want to pursue further education in the college itself.

Night Life

3

The nightlife around camous is not as lively as you might think. Because of being a little outside the city, the hostel timings were 6 or 7 PM according to my friends. I was a day scholar therefore, I didn't know the life of the hostel as much. But the hostel life was exciting when I aksed few of my friends for the review. They loved the culture of the hostels and they are quite safe. the girls hostel is near faculty compartments.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Zoology)

Due to the pandemic in 2020, I was not able to move to Delhi and opted for IGKV because the location was more suited for me.

This course I chose because I was told of the less competition in it and because of that I came in the course and it has various job opportunities in government sectors. In our course we should take more practicals as that's more beneficial for the students.
