Remarks

One can get best placement opportunities here. There good hostel facilities, playground and also lots of cultural and technical activities take place here. One can develop soft and hard skills parallelly.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty here is amazing. They are always ready to help in every way they can. The syllabus consists of a balance between soft and hard skills and is generally covered by the faculties on time. The course syllabus focuses on every part that makes you good by personality as well as skills.

There are both technical and cultural fests organized. The best about all that is everything is arranged and monitored by the students itself which helps them improve the management skills. The footfall of our Annual fest is around 3000.

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure consists of a lot of greenery. There are around 3 playgrounds for sports enthusiasts. The library here is generally up to date. The labs here are nicely equipped with the required stuff.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. LIFE AT USHA MITTAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

i applied in difffrent colleges like ST. Francis college of engineering, borivali , Atharva college of engineering , malad etc. I didnt make it there as being a student belonging to the open category the cutoff for my desired branch was a bit higher whereas my college provided me with an opportunity to be eligibible for my desired branch.
