Remarks

It is one of the best Government Funded Universities in India and the most renowned Government aided University Campus in Kolkata for studying Human Physiology. Since it is Government funded the course fees is affordable. Some of the best research personnels for Human Physiology are faculties here.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum for M.Sc Human Physiology offered by University of Calcutta is quite integrated. The faculty is good but the laboratory conditions are not up to the mark. Number of Non teaching staff is scanty.

For our department placement options are not adequate. Most of the students sit for CSIR NET after completing M.sc. At times coaching institutions participate in campusing

College Events

There are many cultural events. There is a dedicated committee which organizes social and cultural events. Monthly seminars are held by the department. Eminent personalities are invited often to share their research experiences

Campus Life

Infrastructure is up to the mark. There is free wifi in the entire campus. Libraries are excellent. There are adequate sports facilities and ample of canteens for students. There are elevators as well. The washrooms for girls need renovation

Course Curriculum Overview:

-> CSE is the main stream because under this, other courses like Cybersecurity can be learned as extra courses, while still learning things that are very important like DSA and DAA. -> Everything is taught slightly fast and students have to keep up everyday. Even one class missed will be heavy on studying. -> The mic quality in some classes are bad and should be improved. It's impossible to understand what the teachers says when using them. -> Usually term exams start one month after the start of a semester, with the Semester exam being held 3 months later.

I have not yet reached the placement time because i am a fresher. But more than 1000 offers are made to students and placements are pretty good as i got to know from my seniors. The highest package from chemical branch was 75 lacs last year.
