Remarks

There are many factors, the most important ones are as follows: Placement: DTU has a very decent placement record. Tata IQ, Maruti, Bain Capability Centre, ZS Associates, etc. are some of the regulars firms that hire students from DTU. They also offers very decent pakages of ranging from 6 to 12 LPA. Some MNCs like Toshiba, UniQlo, Daikin, even offers job locations out of India such as at Belguim, Japan. Infrastructure & Facilities: DTU has a very large Campus & wide variety of facilities. It has Health Centre, Computer Centre, Hostles, ATM (within campus), Canteens (Mic-Mac, Nescafe, Mech-C, Amul), Societies (NSS, Elixier, Pratibimb), Tech-Teams (UAS, Inferno, AUV,) & many more

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course syllabus is being repeated for about 4 to 5 years. So yes it is not updated for a long time. Same goes for the Labs' Syllabus. As for Industrial Exposure, there are many societies like ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), that provides a trip to the Industries. But from DTU's side, evening students are not provided any visit to the power plants. We do get to know a lot about Industries & all thanks to the faculties, but it is limited to verbal description in most cases. Some faculties do share videos for better understanding. All faculties are very knowledgeable, some faculties even goes to describes topics out of the syllabus for the better clarification of the students. Professors I would really like to mention would be: Prof. R.S. Mishra: He is the type of professor who is very strict from the outside but very helpful from the inside. He is also the most senior faculty in the Mechanical Department. He is the only professor who never say no to any student when it comes to any technical related help.

A) Company Visited: Toshiba Japan Location: Japan Profile: 1) Researcher Database Management System 2) Manufacturing Engineer 3) Research of CPS/IoT technologies in Social Infrastructure System Placement Process: Apply through the google form & the site both. Further process is still on-going, so I don't know any more. B) Company Visited: Axxela Advisory Services LLP Profile: Analyst Placement Process: First applying through google form Round 1: Test 1- Speed Math (Test Duration- 5 mins) Round 2: Test 2- Analytical skills & English grammar test Round 3: Group Gaming Round 4: Interviews No. of Student's Placed: 3 Feedback: The T&P department is trying there best for contacting companies. As a evening student I do feel that we were neglected at first, but after discussion they did their best to help us regarding the same.

College Events

4.5

The Technical Societies like IEEE, ASME, ASCE organise some technical events like industrial Visit, RC controlled ground vehicle race, etc. The participants & viewers ranges from 50 to 70. Technical Teams: Inferno, UAS, AUV, & many more teams do take part in national & international competitions. For example Team Inferno secured a position of second runner up in the IRDC (Indian Rover Design Challenge) held in 2020

Campus Life

Sports Facilities: DTU has a seperate area for the sports complex. It includes Sports Hall (for badminton, tabble tennis), Sports Ground (for Running, Cricket, Basketball etc) Wi-Fi: DTU provides it's student with a login id & password for the usage of internet. It's Wi-Fi has a fine speed, thought there are some zones with low signal connectivity. Library: DTU's Library has it's own building. It is no lesser than a department building in size. There are a total of three floors (Ground, First & Second). An evening student can borrow at max of total 6 books from the library.

There is a training and placement cell in nsut and yes placement is offered in our college. 1. After your 2nd year in btech, you are eligible for internship placement and after 3rd year your are eligible to sit in job placement. 2. There are many good companies that come to nsut, like zomato, meesho, Microsoft, google, azure, adobe, and list is really long. 3. The highest package this year was around 50LPA. The profiles are based on tech - software engineer, non tech - data analysis, core - electrical or mechanical or civil or chemical engineers in core companies like BSES, google silicon etc.

Campus placements are offered, managed by office of carrer services where students can apply for companies, almost all the reputed companies visit here but some dark truths include diversity hiring where they chose students not for their merit but because they belong to a certain gender or department

Here placement is average as many opt for higher studies the reason behind this is maybe because only a few companies visit. In which TCS is a mass recruiter. The average package here is 3-4 lakh per annum and the highest goes up to 6lakhs per annum. Here placement ratio is about 50%. I will also opt for higher studies after getting a degree

Remarks:

College management needs to work upon just the placement cell and needs to invent new methods to keep uninterested students glued and up for studies.
