Remarks

Management is very clean and strict. no tolerance policy.I dont have any issues. You might feel irritated at times with all the formalities you need to do while getting admission and leaving university.

Entrance Preview

I opted for only for two entrance exams. Both for BHU. The common entrance test for Bachelor of Arts and B.com. I got through in both. There was no particular choice but Counselling for Arts was done so first took admission in BA.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

After counselling i opted for three subjects. Ancient Indian History and Culture (AIHC), English and Painting. You need to choose an extra subject also which was hindi for me. As suggested by teachers and seniors there you should have one subject at least with practical. It increases your chances to score more. I choose English as my main subject in third year. I gradually liked the curriculum for english. course stucture for it is neither easy nor tough, it depends on your interest level.

Internships Opportunities

No there is no such opportunity provided as such. There are some faculties under this university which offer more job centric courses and assist in placement. Bachelors degree students dont have any back up. At least till the time i was there. You need to work on your own.

Placement Experience

3

Placement assistance is provided to students enrolled with job centric courses. Mostly being from IT and Management. We do have top notch companies hiring from BHU campus. Students have got packages as high as 14 lakhs pa, depending upon which field you are into.

College Events

3.5

Apart from college annual day. There are many occasions which are memorable. You begin with a very warm freshers party, then numerous events at college. There is very popular inter college fest called spandan. Celebrities come as chief guests. Its very popular among students, then of course the farewell parties. They are very grand and memorable.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees was very much affordable then. I am not very sure about current structure, but sure enough even it might have increased exponentially. It will still be less than ninety five percent of universities all over india. Annual fees was not more than 5 thousand when i was studying.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships. I am not very sure about how to get it but they do provide it. As far as students loan is concerned. They are specific to the course you are enrolled for. They will be readily available to IT, Management, PR and Medical students. But i hardly believe they would fund B.A or B.com pupils.

Campus Life

4

Campus is the best part of this university. It cannot be covered in one day if you think you can walk down and see everything. Campus has every thing available. There is very famous temple too. For tourist attraction we have stadium, museum, auditorium, sports ground etc. There are many events being organised time to time. You can choose a variety of extra curricular activities from dance, swimming, ncc and nss etc. campus has less female students compared to male. But there are strict rules and regulations to keep women safe. There is a very effective anti ragging cell too.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are the best part. I would like to mention BHU has the asia's largest dormitory when it comes to universities. They are airy, clean and highly maintained. I had stayed in hostels for three years. All the hostels are very nice, about mess food noth

Alumni/Alumna

I am not that active. My work and family keeps me too busy to be in contact with anyone but there are many forums and groups on social sites like facebook and linkedin. They can be helpful. They can be helpful in after admission procedures not before that.

Exam Structure

No exams were held annually. Its not that tough. There is always a way to nail the exams. Work hard. But those who find it difficult to sit at one place and study have different options, like group studies and notes from seniors. Its easily available and o

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have interest in psychology that's why I adapt this course. got to know so many things about psychology and which help me to know people better really help me in my day today life. But the professor need to explain more and do not give illusionary examples. Did they have to try to explain in real world scenario. The courses is difficult and the paper is so lengthy give three hours to write and the people is so many that the time is insufficient they need to give more time if they expect to fill 24 pages of answer sheet.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
