Anonymous's Review On Birla Institute Of Technology - [BIT Mesra], Ranchi

BIT Mesra is an esteemed University. Although it may not be as great as an IIT or BITS Pilani but still it is second best private college in India. The college is huge approx 780acres campus. It is half controlled by CK Birla group. The thing I liked most is it has a very good reputation with companies coming to hire students. A large diverse student base is also crucial. Academics and sports both are great in this university.

I think the syllabus followed by the college is just ok in my opinion I mean it might not be great compared to top colleges of India but still it is satisfactory. There are several labs which have state of art infrastructure. Faculties are good like some are great others are just okay which happens in every college.

Uptill now I have done 3-4 Internship all of them are unpaid like shiksha review marketing, campus ambassador for Eximius E-summit at IIM Bangalore, Market research intern at Euresia consulenza and Social media marketing intern at GirlScript foundation

The college is famous among several companies, top companies include TCS, wipro, Tata Steel, Amdocs, Microsoft just to name a few. Since it's a old college top companies have idea about it. The alumnus of the college are great and helpful too. T&P of college is good with several opportunities provided for students. The famous Amazon Alexa had been created by an alumnus of the college.

There are several fests that take place on college like pantheon, BITOTSAV, just to name a few. The college is famous for extracurricular activities and fests. Students from different colleges come and take part in events. BITOTSAV is the biggest of them all with huge participation and stars coming to perform.

I did not taken any loan or scholarship, but I know there is relaxing for students whose parents work as staff, students coming from SC,ST,OBC criteria, and students whose parents income is low but are exceptionally good in studies(GP BIRLA SCHOLARSHIP I GUESS)

The campus is huge like approx 780 acres but half of it is filled with trees. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The library in the college is very big. The college is well known for conducting North-East India's largest sports event called VAJRA. Labs are highly equipped. The space and Rocket department is very famous amongst other college students.

I live in hostel, there are 11 hostels for boys and 2 for girls. Since the campus is huge going from hostel to academics takes a lot of time. Hostel rooms are just good. The college has several Offcampus and one of them is BIT JAIPUR where there are no hostel facilities and students stay in PG near to college. Hostel rooms are shared initially by 3 students and sometimes 2.
