Remarks

I chose BITS Pilani Goa because of the diversity of students which come here and because of no reservation policy. The policy to update coursework every 3 years also makes it lucrative. I even had few of my relatives in BITS so I could have a comprehensive review of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Every course offered in our college is said to be updated every 3 years. As for industrial exposure, I think 1st year students needn't have any. The faculty is very interactive and passionate about their subjects

Course Fees: INR 1800000 per year

Placement Experience

Top companies visit the college each year. The placement unit is run jointly by students and faculty. The entrepreneurial culture in the campus is great with few on campus startups and few major ones off campus(eg. tapchief). The alumini network is very big and very supportive.

College Events

We have 3 fests over a year. Cultural(Waves), technical(Quark) and sports(Sports). The fests are grand and infact Waves has repeatedly featured on the list of best cultural fests in indian colleges. All fests are run and managed by the students of the campus. We have various departments which involve in the management, funding, sponsorship, participation etc. Participants from all over indian colleges visit the fest.

Campus Life

The campuse has provisions for every major sport. It has a huge auditorium of accomodation of 3000 people. It also has 22 well maintained hostels, with 3 mess(dining hall). Every hostel has access to high speed wifi with limitation of 5 gb/day. The labs a very well equipped, especially the mechanical engineering labs have latest machinery.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are very well maintained. Bathroom fittings and wall fixtures are very good. Every hostel has a badminton court of its own. There are enough hostel rooms to accomodate all students in the campus. For the first year we have sharing room (2 people/room). From second year onwards we have single occupancy rooms.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Placement Experience:

there's practice school option in semester 4 which allows students to go to corporate company and work as an intern, giving students exposure to work experience. this can lead to a FTE placement as well. Maintaining 8+ GPA is very important in getting placed. I plan to get placed and work in AI roles.

Bits Goa good or not

Placement Experience:

There is a dept for placements. 70 to 80 percent people get placed woth average package of 20 lakhs per annum. Mostly ot depends on interviews and how good internship you get in 3rd year. Cg plays a very imp role too.

The curriculum is cbme based this meets the international standards and students can attampt usmle aslo. The course give u exposure to real world scenarios. The course is good as it is. The exams take place every semester and end of the year finals. Moderately difficult to clear.

Bits goa brief review

Placement Experience:

The placements are very good because we have two compulsory internships called practice school to make us industry ready after the second year summer for 2 months and one semester in the 4th or 5th year placements start since 7th semester itself were most get offers in PPO thright the internships. 248 companies visited along with 631 students placed the average is 2083000 and median is 1650000. 76 percent of students got placed highest was 80lpa. I plan to get a job
