Remarks

It is the oldest Technical college in West Bengal as well as in India as it was established in1893. and its placement record is very good from past few years. Many students of this college are working in MNC company in India as well as in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good for students. Each and every class are taken with importance. But, now-a-days I think faculty members are becoming lazy about their activity. Some of them are absent-minded about their work.

Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

College Events

No technical festival observed in the campus but the availability of every instrument is good as there are separate workshop for every stream. Cultural festivals are observed like freshers welcome, fairwell party, college social party, teachers day as well as everything and every students are very close to these types of programme.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholership facility is available from college. But for the back word class like SC/ST/OBC there are scholarship from govt. Of West Bengal. They can get it every year of their academic season. But this is not for all students

Campus Life

Campus Infrastructure is good for every students. Condition of every class room, Lab room, common room is better. Sports facility is available for students. Library is available for every students. But there is no availability of free Wi-Fi for the students in campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is available. It has 36 rooms,one kitchen room, one common room, one gym room & one indoor game room. Each room has 4 bed & 4 locker for each students. Electricity & water availability are also good.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Shaping My Future: A Comprehensive Review of College Life and Academics

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester companies started coming and there is different criteria for different companies like some company have criteria for more then 8.5 cgpa will be able to seat only in their placement conducting it is totally based on company preferences. The highest package was 9 lpa and average package was 3 lpa. Around 60 percent student get placed in my department.

Placement Experience:

Here students become eligible to sit in campus placement from 6th semester. Many companies come here. The average package here is 5 lakhs and the highest here is 20 lakhs it's gone.Here 95% of the students get placement.My plan is to do M.Tech after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.
