Autonomous college and the oldest college in India with numerous alumnis who did great in many fields. Tge college is more like a brand in the field of engineering education. I knew some people who studied there and did pretty well in professional life.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus was updated time to time. Tge course included a lot of practical work with time to time visits to the industrial units to demonstrate the actual work going on. Faculties were good but some of them were not up to the standards looking at their teaching skills.
Placement Experience
Almost all big firms and companies in every sector visit the campus for placements. Some provide internships and pre placement offer with them. Atudents get placed in diverse fields as per their interests.
College Events
Campus life was the best. College has developed a different culture throughout the years. It has around 100 different small, big clubs and groups. They work in variety of fields like technology, art, drama, music, entrepreneurship, etc. It gives the opportunity for overall development of a human.
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure is the best thing about college. The main building was built in 1865 and has black stone structure. The campus is large enough to have seperate building for each department. One of the main features is the library and material in it. Labs are well equipped and there arecmany clubs, groups and teams which work in these labs day and out.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel campus is a vast one. There are around 7 blocks for boys, which accomodate first year to funal year students. Girls have a seperate 13 floor state of the art kind of hostel building. Only thing that i didn't like was hostel was not for everyone, it had limited seats on merit basis.
