Remarks

Amity University is a great institute academic wise. If you choose to study and follow professors over there, then you'll not regret to get admission there. If you score above 80% in you 12th you'll get direct admission without any entrance or interview. If you have score 95% or above you'll get scholarship in you desired programme. Attendance is a big deal in Amity University. Anyhow you have to maintain 75% in each subject otherwise you'll get debarred, for that you have to give back paper giving 2000 for each subject. You'll have to study 8-10 subjects per semester. Studying one foreign language is a bonus at Amity. Overall it is a good college for people who really wish to study. Surely you can enjoy on weekends. But otherwise you have to study.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I really have passion for English, that's why chose literature to study. Faculty members are very cooperative and very polite. You'll not regret your admission in English honours at Amity once you'll meet the teachers there. They simplify the subject and try to make the drama and other literary subjects as interesting as they can. They'll make you imagine out of the box and make you creative in every aspect. All professors are PHD and have specialisation. You have to give internals in every semester that are of 15 marks, including 5 marks of attendance internals are of 20 marks, 10 marks are for seminars which are also conducted semester wise. Overall passing exams are not that difficult if a student is even giving 50% attention during lectures.

Placement Experience

4

Last semester students are eligible for enrolling in campus placement. You can apply in maximum 3-4 companies according to your requirement and interest. The package varies from 2-6.5 lacs per annum depending on your scores and how well your interview goes. Any student can apply for campus placement, atleast give interview, leave rest for future. I had to pursue masters after getting UG degree from Amity University, so I just gave interview for placement for gaining experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for English honours is 3.5 lacs in total, which goes for about 55-60,000 per semester. If a student has scored 95% or above in their 12th then they will get 50% academic scholarship. You can fill the form of scholarship at the time of admission only. During the last semester, few reputed organizations conduct seminars and takes interview of students who have enrolled or given their names for campus placement. You'll get selected on the basis of your interview and marks scored in every semester. Personality and confidence matters alot during campus placement interviews.

Campus Life

4

Overall the ambience of the college is really good . Classrooms are Fully air conditioned. Proper sitting arrangement is there. White boards are used to teach manually and virtually from the projector as well. There is a concept of annual sports meet called Sangathan which involves every sports related activity and it goes on for long two months. There are so many clubs which a person can join according to their area of interest like drama, dance ,vocal, literary clubs etc. Annual fests and celebrity meetups are also good for making college life fun. For enjoying all these, one need to maintain their attendance first.

Interview Experience

4

If a student has scored 80% or above in 12th results, then they are eligible for direct admission. If less than 80% then one need to give entrance test and interview cum group discussion for getting admission in Amity University. This process is not that difficult but it is just time consuming and you have to go through it in order to get admission. If you have to give entrance you just need to revise for the course you have applied and some basic general knowledge. You group discussions you just need to be confident and accurate.

I have interest in psychology that's why I adapt this course. got to know so many things about psychology and which help me to know people better really help me in my day today life. But the professor need to explain more and do not give illusionary examples. Did they have to try to explain in real world scenario. The courses is difficult and the paper is so lengthy give three hours to write and the people is so many that the time is insufficient they need to give more time if they expect to fill 24 pages of answer sheet.
