Remarks

I had not thought of joining this college, but this was the only option I was left with. Though the college is good and has very good reviews. It is located in beautiful city Pune. The college is well connected to the public transport, so it was easy to reach college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college curriculum is strictly according to the Pune University which is a bit old and is not quite up to date. The quality of teaching is good and lectures are conducted on a daily basis. Attendance of 75% is compulsory but even if it is less than that no strict actions as such are taken. There are a lot of assignments to do and no mercy is shown towards the students and they have to complete it in the given time itself or else strict actions are taken.

Placement Experience

Placements of the college are fairly good.The placements of the Computer and IT department are great but of the ENTC department not so good. The average salary is of 2-3 lakhs per year and that to not all students are placed. About 60-70 % are placed but the rest have to find a job of their own. Companies like Siemens, Cipla,Syntal,BridgeStone,etc come here for the campus placements. The highest salary offered is of 6-7 lakhs. The college is pretty supportive of the students.

College Events

The college has a really good campus life. The cultural and technical fest of ' ALACRITY ' is celebrated with great enthusiasm. There are more than 50 competitions in which students from all over Pune take part in. The entry fee is like 50 rs and the winners have good cash prizes also. The winners of the competitions are felicitated by the director on the main stage during the final day and also there is a DJ where everybody enjoys a lot and the event is great fun.

Campus Life

Aissms college also known as ' All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society's ' college of engineering is one of the top colleges of pune and has a lush green campus, with a blend of modern and traditional architecture. The college was founded in 1992 and has been ever-glowing since. The laboratories are huge and have all the necessary equipment available. Also the hostel facilites are quite good and the mess serves good food. There is a huge ground for sports and overall hygiene is maintained

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam.
