Remarks

The college is good with all basic activities and facilities for students but definitely lacking many activities and facilities when compared to NLUs. The college management is the worst thing a student has to face here. They are not at all helpful but least bothered about students demands and have a very laid back approach. If there will be an improvement in the attitude of management then this college will definitely be one of the good colleges in India. The college campus is a natural beauty and a hill of his own for short trekking. The campus is beautiful with a touch of old construction as the college is more than 95years old. It has given great aluminis like Hon'ble Mr. Justice Y.V Chandrachud, Me. Vilasrao Deshmukh, Hon'ble Mr. Justice P.B. Gajendragadkar etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

The education system is not updated like in NLUs or any other private institute. The college still follows age old examination system. It is regulated by the rules of Pune University. In my batch i.e. 2014-2019, there was good campus placements from the college in all good tier firms. Also internship cell helped students secure good internships through which there were many pre placements.

Placement Experience

3.5

All big firms like Wipro, tcs, Mahindra, ICICI, luthra and luthra, etc all visited the college for placement drives. Also many students from my batch secured internships in firm's like Amarchand, Platinum Partners, SRA Associates, Trilegal and then secured placements there. 50-60% students applying through placement cells get placed every year.

College Events

4.5

College holds many events but not many are on such a great scale. There are events like Legal Ease in December which is the official fest of the college. Then there are many drama events, and other mooting competitions like Phadnis, Novice, client counselling, PIL, etc.For first year students there is a competition called Novice which gives them a chance to learn mooting.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite feasible. When I was in the college it was usually between 30-35k annual fees for outside Maharashtra students, whereas it was even lesser for within Maharashtra students. The mode of acceptance is through cash, challan or even online. The college is transparent in fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I did not opt for any scholarship or loan. The college had some scholarship schemes for some students.

Campus Life

Females were more in number as compared to males in the college, the raiton might be 3:1. Each class had too many students compared to other colleges or NLUs. We had a batch of more than 300-350 students. But there were students from all over India. There was a huge diversity of cultures and people from every state. All the festivals were celebrated in college by the students like Onam, Lohri etc. There were extracurricular activities like dance competitions, fashion shows, music cpetitions, sports. Annual sports meets were held and teams for every sport used to take part in competitions held in different colleges all over India. Inter college moots were highly promoted and students were encouraged to take part in them. Also students were sent to various International moots taking part in other countries. There were also debating societies which conducted parliamentary debate sessions and students took part in inter college parliamentary debated also. There were many cells in college like corporate cell, legal aid cell, human rights cell, IPR cell, gender right cell, etc. These cells even organised legal aid camps and field visits. Also client counselling camps were organised to help reduce the pending cases. All in all there is exposure to varieties of activities through college only full expenses were not borne by the college for inter college activities.

Hostel Facilities

Yes I stayed for 4 years in college hostel which was a mess. The hostel facilities are too expensive only because of the fact that they are within the campus of the college. The fees charged were more than 2lakhs annually for a twin sharing room with food for girls. This was too expensive when compared to outside accommodation. Outside the pgs and flats were comparitivly reasonable to stay.

Alumni/Alumna

I had personally not had any experience with the alumni of my college because I chose to opt for judicial services examination and not for corporate sector. But college alumni are very helpful and spread all over India in various fields. They have been helping students throughout their internships and placements.

Admission

I wanted to pursue B.A.LL.B. (5year integrated course) after my high school.I secured 95.8% in my 12th Boards in 2014 so this made it easier to get admission in ILS, PUNE through merit list. I was selected in the 3rd merit list which had cut off as 95.6%.Having read about the college and it's all India good rankings, we decided to take admission here. That time admission procedure was through merit lists. But now the procedure is through entrance exams which is conducted around July-August.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties of the college have mixed reviews and there are some really good teachers who have great knowledge and experience. Like Nilima Bhadbadhe ma'am who is a renowned teacher in India. There are also temporary faculty for some subjects like family law etc. Experienced teachers have experience in teaching for more than 20years, whereas there are many recent graduates too.

Placement Experience:

After taking admission in the college, the placement drive is started for the student immediately from the second semester. All the information about which is sent to the class wise group and if the student is eligible, you can apply immediately after seeing your experience. The experience is very beautiful. You learn new things. You also understand how the interview round is conducted and what the eligibility is. Most of the companies that come to the college include renowned companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Deollite, etc., which hire students. The biggest package of Rs 7 crore per NM has been given so far from Sandeep University in the entire Nashik district.Which is a matter of great pride. Sandeep University is the only college where the largest job fair seminar in Maharashtra is attended. In which students from all over Maharashtra come and give live interviews to companies that have come to the college, give their region and announce hiring on the spot. Therefore, this college provides the greatest opportunity for students to meet all the renowned companies under one roof in one place. During the interview, the student's critical thinking skills and his/her inclination are shown rather than CGP and marks to determine whether he/she is eligible or not. In my experience, the college provides such strong education that at least four students are placed in companies every week. I am currently completing my graduation and will be starting my career immediately after that.
