Remarks

PSITCOE is a very good college for studying in North India. It provides a very good placement rate and a rigorous training for making students Industry ready.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is all about coding, and it is good at this college. So, I have chosen it. Our college conducts hackathons and OLTs regularly. Our college is strict if we escape classes and roam on the campus. Students are prepared for industry from the first day of their college, and from. 3rd year on-wards special placement trainings begin where rigorous mock interviews happen and makes the students well prepared for placements.

Placement Experience

4

Almost all the students of CS and IT get placed with a good package. In the previous year, some seniors got placed with a very good salary package of 12 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 16 LPA. There isn't much focus on giving internships in our college, we have to find internships off campus by ourselves without any help from College authority, but if you manage to get a good internship then the college supports you with providing delegations and everything (No financial support though).

College Events

3.5

Our college organises less events, but the fest organised is worth to wait. This college focuses more on studies and less on providing entertainment. The annual college fest called ignitia is the best event that this college offers, it's a two days event where DJs, bands are invited to perform, One Celebrity is also invited to perform ( Such as Shirley Sethia, Sukhvinder Singh). Extra curricular activities involve Quizzes and seminars that happen almost every month.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is feasible enough as compared to other engineering institutes, college takes annual fees and no other additional fee, but college is very strict in imposing fine so one has to be careful of his actions. Scholarship is also provided to qualified students by AKTU and UPMSP.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is provided by UPMSP and AKTU. you'll have to register yourself and then provide the needed documents and certificates for availing scholarship.

Campus Life

The life is not easy. Only thing you can do is to study hard. Annual fest 'Ignitia' can refresh you but not for long time. Most of time we are busy. It's come, study, talk with friends in interval, go to the room and again study. One thing that I want to say that I met many good people here. So, though we say our college is strict and all but we have good company and an aim for our dreams to work hard. gender ratio is balanced in campus and there is no discrimination of caste or religion.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful and supportive. They will encourage you for various extra curricular activities as well as studies.

Admission

I chose this course because I've always had an interest for coding and development, I'm happy that I chose Psit COE because it gives a lot of stress on coding and placement trainings, the faculty is also well educated and are always helpful. I gave UPSEE exam and opted PSITCOE.

Faculty

You can literally go to any faculty member and ask for their help any number of times, they don't get annoyed ever. The college focuses a lot on coding, regular compulsory hackathons are conducted, Special Training lectures are a part of our time table where we're taught different coding languages. The college timing is 9-5, 5 days a week which sometimes is really hectic given the fact that most other colleges don't have such strict timings. But in the long run this trains us to withstand the 9-5 corporate timing when working in companies. The college stresses a lot on attendance and you have to maintain 90% attendance, otherwise you have to pay a fine.

Highest package is 44 lpa in amazon which is off campus for software role. Placements % is quite medium if you are serious about skill then you will be get a path here to go ahead. Arround 60 to 70 is the placement % My plans after getting degree is to get a job.

No companies as here only lawyers of arbitration and other domains come to hire students. Most students though have PPO from their interning companies but not real 10-20 LPA placements for Galgotias and that i wish change because our university academics and the kind of learning that is provided is at par with that of NLUs.

Packages aren't as good or big as NLUs as 4-5 lakhs is median and just 25% students gets placements from University. Most students though go for litigation and I am also going to do the same as this is how I want to build my career and take it forward. Even LLM is also an option and GLA University is the one from where I will do, if I plan to do masters.

Average package at GLA University may range between 5-7 lakhs but one student has managed to get placements of 55 lakhs and that is still the record placement from GLA University campus Mathura. Around 70-75% students are placed every year but I will be preparing for GATE as my ambition are to be atleast post graduate if not a PHD.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
