Course Curriculum Overview

5

I would rate the course plan at PSIT as very useful and complete . The plan includes a good mix of theory , labs a nd project work which influenced my choice to study B.tech CSE. It helps students for real use cases , coding event , training and higher study. The exams are held two times a year, are fair in level and test ideas and problem solving . Areas to improve include adding more options , using new tools from the field , and giving more time for lab work. The way of teaching is good, though some topics could use more live class talks.

Internships Opportunities

5

PSIT offers many good internship option through tie-ups with top firms. Many students get summer training from companies like TCS iON, Infosys Springboard , Wipro TalentNext and Tech Mahindra. Some startups from kanpur and lucknow also offer live project work. The roles are mainly in web dev, app dev , data analysis and ai-ml tasks. Stipend range from ruppee 5000 to 20000 per month based on skill and role. During my CSE course , I worked on a project that used Python . It helped me learn real coding skills and teamwork. The college also has some tie ups with some companies which arrange some internship programs for the students .

Placement Experience

5

At PSIT, students are allowed for campus jobs from the 6th sem . Many top firms visit each year, such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra , HCL and Capgemini. Some product firms like ZS and Hashedin also hire from PSIT. The highest pay for CSE was around 30 lpa and the average pay stays near rupee 6 lpa . More than 90 percent of students get placed in good roles like software dev, data analyst or QA engineer. The college also runs training drives for coding , mock tests and soft skils growth. After my degree , I plan to go for Mtech at IIT Madras and then work in the tech field or research area.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly feee for btech at psit is around rupeee 1.6-1.7 lakhs, which includudes tutition, developmement and lab fees. At the time of admission , a one time registration and caution fee of about ruppee 10000 is charged . The overall cost for the 4 year course to roughly ruppee 6.5 lakh -7lakhs . The fee is mostly stable and does not increase drastically every year. PSIT offers several scholarships such as merit -based scholarships for students with high jee or acadmeic scores and state govt scheme sfor SC/ST/OBC and economically weaker students. The management category has slightly higher fees com[ared to the general category. Overall, the fee structure is reasonable considering the excellent placements and facilities offered.

Campus Life

5

My campus life at PSIT has been full of learning and joy. The college hosts two main fests - IGNITIA the annual fest held in March and freshers for the new admission comers held in November. Both events bring fun, skill show and tech contets that boost team spirit. The library has a wide range of books, online journal , and digital tools. It is open for long hours and easy to access for all students. Classrooms are fitted with smart boards, projectors, and wifi that make lessons more clear and engaging. College has many clubs work for tech , dance , music, drama and coding. Groups like coding, e-cell, cultural club help in skill and team growth. These clubs and fests have made these events more intresting nd participating.

Admission

I applied to PSIT kanpur , AKGEC Ghaziabad , KIET Ghaziabad and Galgotias college for btech cse. I got confirmed seats at psit and galgotias. I choose PSIT as it has a better campus , good study plan , high placement rate, and strong link with top firms . The labs and infra are modern and the faculty is helpful. The peer group here is also very active and goal driven. i could not get seat at AKGEC and KIET due to high rank cut-offs, but i am happy with PSIT as it gives good valaue for my jee score.

Faculty

5

The faculty at PSIT is highly qualified , experienced, and approachable with a good faculty to student ratio of around 1:15-20, which allows for personalized guidannce. A few professors may focus on theory and are less interactive , which can be challenging for some students. The course structure is well-planned balancing theory , labs and projects . Semester exams are moderatley dificult , with most students passing and the marking schemes is fair , inlcuidng internal assemements and practical evalutations. Overall, the curriculum is industry-relevant , preparing students well for technical and professional challenges .

Night Life

5

The nightlife around PSIT is calm and safe. The hostel gates close by 9:00 PM for girls and 10:00 PM for boys, while the main campus shuts by 5 pm. The gym stays open still 7:30pm and the library and labs close around 7 PM. The cafeteria is open till evening and is a common hangout spot after class. inside the campus student may enjoy lush green campus or can sit nd enjoy the delicious fast food sell by out outlets of urban vada pav , nescafe, amul. brio. samocha and the canteen of PSIT " CAFE 2004". Or students may enjoy on weekends visiting nearby places like RAVE@MOTI Mall , Z SQUARE MALL or cafes near kalyanpur.

Since curriculum was given by AKTU itself, colleges only has the power to choose elective subjects- Few subjects were my fav and helped me alot in lot's of different scenerios - like EDC,Network Theory and ofc VLSI Design was my fav. For ECE students - university shd mandate Satellite communication and VLSI Technology a compulsory as it's a kind of core subjects and in every PSU as well as govt exams , questions from this subject always been asked by authorities. More faculties staff's are required.

Taking about campous placement of my college so this is not so good like it is almost negligibe . If you want job then you have to fimd it by yourself and you have to apply by yourself to company. sometimes few prof. will help you to apply for some companies but most of the times you have to do it by yourself only. As in other colleges you will be elegible for internships from 2nd year is also the same thing you can start your internship when ever you get it. Almost no company visit here for placement but some time few companies come here for ME and Civil deparment students .the placement percentage is approx 35 to 40 percent. My plans after getting degre is to go for higher studies.
