Remarks

This is the best engineering College in kerala and probably one among the best in India.Students are from diverse backgrounds. Faculties are also very much qualified. Institute also holds lot of festivals which are very polar.

Course Curriculum Overview

More emphasis on theory than practical, low assistance for placements, very good festivals organised, good opportunity and exposure to various events, good alumni network.Very good hostel facilites.Good mess quality, variety of options to choose from.

Placement Experience

They are turning out to be really good these days with improvements. A lot of companies come to hire from all across the country like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, l&t, etc. To companies visit the college and must if the students with goa more than 7: get hired in the first week itself. Very competitive placement.But there are students who get place abroad directly too.

College Events

It was over the best things ever, everyone had something or the other to do everytime This was helpful in knowing what skills we have and how to use it.Faculty interactions were very low they hardly care what we do, exceptions are there ofcourse. Exams are of mediaeval syllabus with very low practical orientation.

Fees and Financial Aid

They have scholarship for regarded category students in schedules care, schedules Tribes and other backward classes. No reservations for generals category that I know of. The generally don't offer scholarships for general category students. They provide loan options for students in differents banks.

Campus Life

Campus has a medium level infrastructure.Very good sports facilities, dance and dramatics, literary festivals, etcLibrary and seminars haha are great.Open air auditorium is the bed par here were various show are organizedClassroom facilities are medium high tech with modern infrastructure and smart classes

Hostel Facilities

Yes the hostel facilities are the best here. Complete freedom with no deadlines for boys. Girls have restrictions of timings b need is attached to the hostels with options of choosing differents me from other hostels. Mess had differents carrots like veg, non veg, North, South, Andhra, with extras like cold drink, chocolate, ice cream, etc. Very low rent here.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
