Entrance Preview
MHT-CET 2011, I scored 113 out of 200, The reason for choosing this college was clearly the not so good marks, Though the college was best in every aspect(Because every enginner had a dream to study in IIT's) but at that time we were not knowing it would be such a great college for both Studies and campus life.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course of Electronics & Telecommunication is very Detailed and with reference to Research the course is very interesting. As the telecommunication is the key for modern technological industries, The course has all the wings, and in near future it will definitely fly to the destination. As I was not so research focused so I could not get the juice out of it but definitely recommend the course from This college to the people having strong believe in research work.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is provided in the college if the students are interested. My friend who was from computers department worked for a month in summer for a firm(I dont remember the name) for 5K. With lots of learning in the trime period.
Placement Experience
The placement of TCET is best in the town as compared to other private colleges in mumbai.The maximum package was in year 2012 from Works Application of 33 Lac/annum .Infosys, Accenture, CTS, musigma and others offer avg package of 3- 4 Lac/annum.I myself was recruited by Infosys for 3.25 Lac/annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I have not availed of any of the scholarship of loan from the college. My father used to manage the fees from their employer every year. The college do support loans from any bank cause their were lot of students who used to pay fees from the loan taken from banks.
Campus Life
The campus life, My part. It was a privilege to study in such a great college. Their is a sports ground beside the college and garden in front of college. The college shares a campus with thakur college of management and research and thakur school of architechture.which makes it best part. Gender ratio is fare enough. I cannot tell exactly but i guess its 2 girls of 3 boys, Though the ratio is less or close to 0 in case of mechanical and civil engineering.
Alumni/Alumna
The college organises alumni meet every year but still the 2015 batch has not attended it.I was personally in contacts with some of the senior students who were 1 or 2 year before our batch who were really helpful in all the matters of placements or exams query.
Exam Structure
The exams are as per the University Of Mumbai. The university follows a semester pattern Exams in November/December and May/June, With 2 term exams in each semester.The exams for the term were completed in 2-3 days with 2 exams per day.labs are not too frequent. I thing teachers take pain for making timetables too.
