Course Curriculum Overview

Course is completely research based and a lot of its part rely upon the clinical research. The complete course is divided into 4 semesters.In the first two semesters there are theory based papers. While the last two are based on clinical research.

Placement Experience

NIPER Guwahati is one of the best colleges for pharmacy in the view of placement as placement rate here is more than 80%. Students get good internships from here. Top pharmaceutical companies visit here for placement drives.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible. After all my preparation nad hardwork I landed here. The fees here is just 77000? per year with 2200 as mess fees the total sum is quite affordable for a middle class family.All the fee are taken in the form of DD.

Campus Life

The best thing about NIPER Guwahati campus are the labs. The labs are so well equipped.Because without labs pharmacology and toxicology has no meaning. NIPER provides all the facilities related to that. The campus is very big and beautiful with greenery all around. And there is no discrimination on the Basis of differences.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very good. Every year in the annual alumni meet pass-out seniors from our college come and motivate and inspire us with all their talks and life lessons from the field works. They are all working in big companies.

Admission

Getting admission in NIPER Guwahati is very though as it is the dream land for all the pharmacy students. After my graduation I qualified GPAT and then NIPER JEE. This way I got admission in one of the best colleges for pharmacy ie NIPER Guwahati. One can also clear GATE and can sit for NIPER JEE.

Faculty

If any one can have the best faculty for pharmacology we have it.The teachers are very well educated, knowledgeable,They are not only good in theory but also create magic at the laboratory. Their teaching methods have created more interest in toxicology.

Placements are not really good in our college, it is more of a research institute so it mainly focuses on PhD as PhD strength is good. Higher education is more prefered here but placement scenario is also good

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Life in GIPS

Placement Experience:

In the 8th semister, students will eligible for campus placement. Our college will organize campus placement. Where different companies come and if you pass the interview then you will get the job. Companys like sun pharma, Ajanta pharma will come. And they have different requirements. In starting you will get 2.5 lakhs of the package and other offers are there. In GIPS most of the students get the placement. My plan after b pharm is I will study for M pharm in GIPS.

About my college

Remarks:

I didn't have any negative remarks until last year. So there was a mistake on my form fill up. I put the right details and selected my subjects. I have selected English as my MIL and submitted my form. But when I get the admit card I got to know that my MIL subject was selected as Assamese which I never selected. Then in the examination I gave the ex for English and didn't gave for Assamese as my subjects wasn't Assamese. I told the teacher who signed my examination copy he told that it will be fixed but on the results day I got to know that it was marked as absent in the MIL exam because I didn't sit for the Assamese examination which I did because I was English student. Then I asked them they said to get my sessional exam marks from the HOD of English department. I went to the HOD and she said that the copy in which they put the records is with the commerce head so I went to him. He said he didn't have the copy and told me to get to the HOD I went back to HOD she said she didn't have the copy. Both of them didn't have the copy for which I didn't able to fix the problem. It's not cool.

The admission process in our college was based on marks obtained in bachelor degree and on the entrance examination. To get admission in this course, students need to qualify their NIPER Joint Entrance Examination. The minimum criteria was at least 60 percent of marks in Bachelor degree of pharmacy from a recognised university.
