Remarks

This is just a beautiful campus with amazing other facilities and infrastructures for students to avail it and enjoy their days here. Students are excellent in academics as well as in other fields like sports, debate etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

Since it is mathematics stream, the course is a bit vast and tough. Exams and practicals are kind of a little difficult but are covered before semester exams. The curriculum includes semester exams, unit tests and practical tests.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college offers both in-campus as well as off-campus companies for placements and job opportunities. Since this is a certified government college, many reputed and well-known companies visit our college for recruitment.

College Events

4.5

Our college participates as well as organizes a number of programs and cultural events all round the year. We here celebrate events like freshers, farewells, Independence day and many other sacred and festivals in our college campus like holi, deepawali etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees that I have to pay for three years duration of this course are nearly Rs 5,000 which is not at all expensive and very much affordable by every student coming from any family background. The course fees includes tuition fees, other fees like admission fees and renewal fees.

Campus Life

Labs are just amazing as they are well-equipped and furnished with some advance technologies. The college also holds several workshops, conferences and other seminars related to the course or some other topics.

Admission

As usual, the admission process in this college is simply merit-based similar to some other government college offering same genre. As I had completed my 10+2 exam and on the basis of my percentage, my name was on the merit list of this college, as a result of which I took admission here.

Faculty

4.5

Some of the faculty members are highly experienced professors in our college. They interact and guide every student in the classrooms. They not only impart knowledge in classroom lectures but also provide skillful teachings during practical classes.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

I choose this course because the curriculum combines clear theoretical foundations with strong practical exposure, and hands on session influenced by decision most. In our 7th sem, we had all India tour, we did have any practical classes or theory exam still we had to pay for the practical and library not only that we had to pay for the trip as well.

Reviewed on Dec 17, 2024(Enrolled 2020)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is perceived as average , lacking specific elements that might make it stand out. In my case, the motivation was not to waste a year by opting for a drop. The flexibility in attendance which let me focus on other interests. The curriculum is same as MAKAUT, and the exam frequency is also controlled by MAKAUT .Areas of improvement is infrastructure and better faculty.
