Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the B.A. (English) course is indeed wide as there is no end to literature and writings. However, this vast curriculum is also supported by frequent examinations, tests, research papers etcetera.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities of the college are really good as every year many students get placed through the campus recruitment. Therefore, I am extremely satisfied with the efficiency of the placement cell of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the college is very feasible and affordable for any student as it costs ?5,380 for the complete three year, full time, on-campus course. Therefore, in my opinion, it is value for money.

Campus Life

Several extra curricular activities are organised by the college throughout the year with an intention to maintain a happy learning environment for the students where they can learn new and different things besides their curriculum.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of the college is indeed very strong and interconnected as students who have graduated from the college still visit the campus on alumni meet and various other events and help us in any way possible.

Admission

It's a pleasure to pursue my education in English through B.A. (English). This course is indeed a prestigious course and doing it from Samsi College, Malda makes it all the more important and prestigious.

The faculty of the college is too good to be true as they are bonafide dignitaries because of their unparalleled contribution in the field of literature. It is indeed a pleasure for any student to learn and grow under them.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Honest opinion about my college(AOT)

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

Niper Kolkata: from starting to end

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

Placement Experience:

The placements are really nice. Every year, a large amount of students are employed by Tech Mahindra, CTS, TCS, Wipro, etc. all software giants. The starting salaries are also decent. Most students get placed, but 100% placement has also been achieved by the college now.

Good College

Placement Experience:

Placement eligibility usually starts in the final year, but there are limited opportunities. Some IT and outsourcing companies visit, but they offer low salary packages. The average package offered is not very high about 3-4 LPA and only a small percentage of students get placed. Many students prefer to pursue an MCA or learn additional skills like web development, data science or cyber security to improve their job prospects. After completing my BCA, I plan to gain experience in IT related jobs improve my technical skills and possibly pursue higher studies like MCA. I might also explore freelancing or certification to increase job opportunities. Since I already have customer service and telecalling experience, I may also consider IT support roles before moving into core technical jobs. Building skills and networking will be important for getting a good job after graduation.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

I applied for Malda college, Malda women's college, gour college, presidency college and samsi college, I got a confirmed admission from samsi college.
