Remarks

The college is situated in Ludhiana Punjab. The college campus is surrounded with lush green lawns. The college is popular for its best post harvest trainings includes highly knowledgable and active scientists which are doing their job very well. The college provides various facilities includes incubation centre, food test labs, digital library, workshop and placement cell.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is a minimum 3 years doctorate level course. The course offers advanced studies related to plants, animals and farming in preparation for expert or academic positions. It includes many workshops, long researches, presentations, farm visits, labs and much more. At the end of the course students have to submit their research and dissertation with proper presentation to academic committees. Overall the course is orienting in nature and requires students to be nature loving.

Placement Experience

There are many job opportunities offered to the students by college placements. Most of the students got selected as a professor in governement and private institutes while some get employed in government sector. And rest of the students got placed by college in top agricultural companies like Advanta limited, National Agro Industry, Monosanto India etc. The highest package offered in our batch was 9 LPA and average package was 6 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college is value for money as the college have very relevant and feasible fees structure for students. According to me fees is quite reasonable for the facilities they provide. For SC/ST and OBC fee structure is easy and cheaper.

Campus Life

Our institute conducts many workshops, extracurricular and academic activities and various programmes like women farmers day, agricultural marketing, Gender in agriculture partnership etc. These all programmes are conducted to aware and motivate farmers for the rights. Apart from this various cultural and social events are also organised by college.

Admission

I select Ph.D in Post Harvest Technology because this field give chance in various agricultural and horticulture sectors. This course also provides a big platform to do research. I got admission in this course on the basis of my degree in masters and marks i secured in Entrance Examination conducted by the university. After personal interview and full verifications of documents i got enrolled for this degree.

As we are ph.d students so we dont get much academic knowledge from faculties.But all faculties help and support us in completing thesis. They guide us in every step like a mentor and help in researches by giving ideas and methods. All faculties are so skilled and highly knowledgable with long experience in teaching.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

I appreciate the well maintained campus and infrastructure the cleaniness in the collage is good
My engagement with collage is good I join various types of activity in the collage

Dislikes

There is no ac in the class and the class windows are not that good
But there is one problem which is that there is no many options for girls in games like sports

Currently my course at cgc landran does not have any types of placement in my course but however the collage focuses on enhancing development of students employability by providing interships , skills development and workshops to enhance there knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Cmc - a feeling in itself

Likes

Academics are very good along with proper clinical teaching lectures and simulation based teaching. Patient load is good. All the clinicals skills required at mbbs level are taught properly.
There are various extra-curricular activities which take place in college. Many cultural events are organized by college and student bodies every month which gives an holistic development experience
Sports facilities are also there which are very good.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old and needs repair
Many faculty members are leaving leading to less good professors in the college
Patient load is decreasing day by day resulting in less clinical exposure

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum followed in our college is CBME based curriculum. Our college was one such college which conrributed tremendously in developing this type of curriculum. It trains you in all clinical skills and provide you with the best doctor skills. Also many soft skills training session our held which helps in developing and training ourselves as good doctor. All the skills are taught on models and patients.clinical training is very good. However , patient load is decreasing which restricts oursleves in seeing variety of patients

A honest college review

Likes

College faculty are very solid and remarkable and some teachers also support the other students in difficult situation like financially
Paramedical course faculty sometimes give random party for students to their achivement

Dislikes

Campus is some sort of small and Students ground is short.
Sports ground is short if two different teams want to play they can't play like that.teams

Placement Experience:

The college provides good opportunities to those who are good at academics and for those who are not good at academics chances for them to placement are very low. During the past year, there were very good companies shown in my college for my seniors, some were very renowned companies and the highest package was something 650000.
