Remarks
This particular research institute was appropriate to pursue a master's as well as a Ph.D. degree due to the academic level and facilities of great faculties and research-based orientation. We also enjoyed the campus life after the final exams and sometimes at weekends.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course was integrated and mixed with the research perspective where we have to attend and conduct several experiments relevant to the curriculum. In terms of exams, we have to conduct detailed research on the subject chosen for the Ph.D. course as of mine was chemical sciences.
Placement Experience
Once the candidate completes the Ph.D. stream at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, there are wide opportunities during the campus placements. Only reputed, national and multi-national companies hire the Ph.D. stream students and I got an internship offer from IIT Roorkee.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fees were divided into three formats according to the year wise and also we can pay the fees in two parts. The academic fees for the first year are 57,900 and for the next two years 53,400 individually and respectively. It all seemed feasible concerning several aspects and prospects.
Campus Life
We had to do much research so there was almost very little time at the end of the weekend for extracurricular activities. However, we had several industrial and organizational visits and generally, we did group and video conferences at the seminar hall and the labs.
Hostel Facilities
The allotment charges for the hostel were 1000 rupees which have to be paid at the finance departments for once. However, I gave 1500 for each semester which was much feasible based on the services the institute provided which were separate beds, clean and hygienic food, shared rooms with proper ventilation and electricity along with the twenty-four-hour water facility.
Admission
I gave my application along with the resume and work experience certificate and the relevant mark sheets by which I was selected as I also gave the IISER entrance exam. The official website has an admission link where every student with relevant eligibility criteria can apply.
Faculty
We had faculties and also as know the research guides. We were allotted with the relevant faculty's contact details based on the research field and the project we chose. Also, they all were excellent in their work and also guided the students with the correct path especially in the project work with appropriate follow-up.
