Remarks

The admission and exam fee were expensive. And our college campus was not big enough to spend break times.

Entrance Preview

KEAM ( All Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance test)My rank was around 15, 000. It was my ever dream to become a computer science engineer who is capable of designing new apps and websites. I'm still working on my new website project.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course was having a duration of 4 years. There is only one final exam for final year students. But for the remaining years, it is divided into semesters having a duration of 6 months. In first year, we had a total of 12 items including 9 subjects and 2. In the remaining years, instead of 9 subjects, it was 6.

Internships Opportunities

Our college didn't offer any internship programmes since most of us varied in the decision where to go and which company we prefer. So we, a group of 15 students completed internship from Keltrone, Trivandrum. That was a 10 day programme and they didn't offer any stipend at all.

Placement Experience

2

The one reason why i chose this college over other college was it offered plenty of placements from various MNCs. When i was in 4th year, MNCs that offered placements were TCS, Infosys, wipro, and Speridian. In Infosys, 5 students from our batch were placed, 7 students were placed in wipro( including me), 3 were placed in TCS, and 2 were placed in Speridian.

College Events

2.5

One of the most popular events held in our college was Illiads(arts festival). It was a 2 day programme and offered a big stage for students to bring thier master skills out. We also conducted an exhibition for junior students of our departments by distributing our mini and main projects and conducting seminars. Our sports programme was also conducted for two days. In arts and sports festivals, best participants will be selected to participate in university. Those who secured first, second or third will be awarded with grace marks at the end of the semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We had to pay Rs 20, 000 PA as tution fee. Along with this, we had to pay admission fee around 2500 in each semester. And also before each exams, we were asked to pay an amount of rs 2500 in each semester. I think the exam fee and admission fee were expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah, our college offered free laptop to all lower cast students and to those whose income was very low. I got scholarship from national portal for each year.

Campus Life

1

I am not interested in sports activities. We conducted a tech fest for all colleges in kerala. Gor Electronics students, they conducted workshops on Robotics and embedded systems. We, computer science students conducted workshops on Java, Android and Web development. They charged Rs 1500 per head.

Hostel Facilities

1

I was not satisfied with the mess. The mess was really bad. I'm a non-vegetarian and non-veg items are my favourite. But our mess never offered non-veg food items during day time. The hostel rent was rs 800 per month. The establishment fee used to come around rs 300. There would be reduction in mess fee if we were not stayed in the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Our college was an anti ragging campus, so the senior students were not allowed (even in hostel) talk or comment on junior students. So we didn't get any chance to interact with students on other batches.

Exam Structure

In first year, there was two series exams followed by a main exam. The internal marks is calculated by noting the attendance, assignments and marks scored in series test. In the remaining years, each year consists of two semesters and for each semester, there would be two series exams followed by a main exam.

Faculty

2

I'm so grateful to my college because we were blessed with wonderful faculties. Since most of our faculties were aged five or less older than us, they all seemed to interact in a friendly manner with us. We all had their personal contacts with us and we could contact them whenever we wanted. Even though our HOD was used to keep an angry face always, we found times to enjoy to its fullest. Most of the faculties were not interested to give notes while teaching, they gave notes after the lecture. We were free to ask questions at any time during the class.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester onwards. At the conclusion of the second year, the college evaluates all students, allowing only the diligent and deserving individuals to proceed, while others are dismissed. The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.
