College is situated in the heavenly place Munnar.Munnar is a hilltop area known for its natural freshness and tea plantations. Thus the college provides education in a naturally air conditioned and pleasant ambience.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our college follow the syllabus of Kerala Technical University.We are under the new scheme of 2019. We can do internships in vacations to get industrial exposure. College have good faculty and facilities.

College have an active placement cell and a placement cell officer. College also conduct placement drives for companies like Armia ,6d Technologies etc. Alumni are placed in Infosys, TCS , Vipro, 6d Technologies, Armia etc.

College Events

Our college holds technical and cultural events. Kaizen is a flagship event containing technical and cultural activities conducted by IEEE with participation from all over India. Electra , Evensia etc are other technical events. Illiad is a cultural fest for students to showcase their talents such as dance, music etc.

Campus Life

College have good sports facilities, wi-fi, auditorium, etc. We have a three storey library with racks of academic related books, reference books, project reports, and classical novels etc. Labs and workshops are also good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is purely based on kuhs. The academic are finished a month before university exams . 85% attendance is maintained for exam. I choosed this course and college as my sister had passed out from this college with great score. For my MDS too i prefer this college as one of my option. Preclinical studies should be a little bit improved by showing some kind of 3D modes of teaching. Exam timing are so clear and perfect.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Firstly I apply for keam entrance exam, then according to your performance, you will get a particular rank. There will be different cut-offs for each course. College Of Engineering Munnar Diaries

I applied to all government engineering colleges and government controlled engineering colleges in Kerala. In government controlled colleges, I gave first preference to the College of Engineering, Munnar. My KEAM rank was 31247. I didn't get allotments to any other government colleges because my rank was low. I got merit allotment in my college through the caste(OBC) quota. If our rank is less than 33000 in KEAM, you can definitely get merit allotment in the College of Engineering, Munnar. But one thing to remember is that there is only a small number of student intake. Age is not a problem. The admission process was super easy. Just went to college with an allotment slip and the required paperwork which is informed by CEE Kerala and remitted the fees. Tuition fee is 35000 per annum for merit seat and total including extras like association fee, art fee etc it became 55000 for the first year only....Read More
