My Introduction to the World of Finance

This is a great place if you want to put in your efforts in academics while still learning the practical and professional skills of the country. The faculty is really helpful and the campus makes you feel at home.

The course curriculum is well-structured and comprises of six semesters. The papers taught include Basis of Finance, Financial Accounting, Environmental Studies, Capital Markets, Business Finance, Banking and Insurance, and offers a wide range of choices for the elective papers. The exam pattern includes written tests and practical exams and assignments.

There are a few placements in the college through the university, but they are limited. The college does have a placement cell and a career counseling and guidance cell. Additionally, there is a great emphasis on competitive exams like CA, CS, and Costing.

The fee structure is very affordable. The per semester fee is less than fifteen hundred rupees, which is really low compared to other colleges. The college provides many services at minimal cost to reach the maximum number of students.

Even though the fee structure is in the lower brackets, the college provides full-free and half-free studentships to those who cannot afford the regular fee structure. The college also provides three other scholarships for which you can apply (Kanyashree (K2), Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum-Mean Scholarship, and National Scholarship).

There are regular seminars and guest and special lectures to keep you in touch with the latest trends and practices. The college excels in sports, yoga and NCC. You can also join the NSS and volunteer in social work. You have access to a well-equipped computer lab and a well-stocked seminar library. I found the campus environment very calming and full of people with differences.

The admission criteria is based on merit. You are required to fill up the application form and the college will prepare a merit list on the basis of all the applications received. If selected, you will be called with all your documents for verification and final admission. The B.Com. Finance program is well-developed and offers academic knowledge along with a plethora of technical information and practical experience.

The faculty is good in experience and qualification. It comprises of one Assistant Professor, one government approved Part time teacher, and four management approved teachers. They are open to questions, queries and suggestions and focus on technical and academic knowledge, and use tutorial classes.
