My journey with Raniganj Girls College has been amazing

The teaching methods of the college is very fun and innovative. Group discussions, seminars, projects, exhibitions are held for better learning. The department of commerce focuses on accounting, finance and taxation.

For my course, the college offered opportunities for placements and internships even though not many could avail them. But the college, through seminars regarding placements and career helped us to get placements.

The college has 3 big playgrounds where many events, camps and sports related activities are held. The college conducts indoor as well as outdoor games like table tennis, basketball, badminton, football, cricket etc. They also celebrate festivals and the students actively participate in these different events and activities. Not only this, different seminars and workshops are also held for better learning.

In my opinion, fees for every course is feasible and such that everyone can afford. For my course it was ?1,910 for a year which makes total fees for 3 years ?5,730 which is including tuition fees so there are no extra charges.

The overall infrastructure of the college is appreciable. They have access to smooth WiFi connection, well equipped laboratory, spacious classrooms with smart board and other facilities. There is also a central library and also, every department has their own seminar library.

The college provides hostel facility called Maitree. It has amazing food and well furnished, clean , hygiene rooms. It is secured with cameras. It also has a kitchen and dining room separately. Fee structure of the hostel is also feasible.

Selection criteria is based on your merit of class 12th examination. You must have passed 12th exams with 45% marks to get admission. You can fill the application form given online or even in the college.

The whole faculty of the department is alright. I had 6 professors who were experienced and qualified. They are always ready to advise and help students. They have vast knowledge about their subject and impart the same by their different teaching methods.
