Remarks

Our university can be considered as one of the best medical schools in India that exclusively focuses on diagnosing and treating cancer patients. It is one of the famous cancer centres which is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. My experience there was undoubtedly memorable as I had learned many things and grew up in many aspects. The mentors that we had there and the facilities we were provided had certainly played a key role in shaping us to be the best in what we do.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well in step with the recent developments and research trends in the field. It was an amalgamation of theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on experience. The structuring of the syllabus was also much organized and thorough. Every year n number of changes are happening, so definitely nowadays the syllabus must be much more updated than during our times.

Placement Experience

3.5

During those times placement were not available, but with the training that we receive from there and with one's efforts and expertise one can definitely secure a good position or they can always start a private clinic for practice. Within a year of passing out from Kidwai, I got selected as a radiotherapist in a well-reputed hospital. Many of my friends are also working in good establishments right now. So for sure, I can say that the experience from there has helped me a lot. Also in other departments like surgical oncology and medical oncology, there are training programs for super speciality students and trainees in collaboration with reputed hospitals and institutions across the country like Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai; Cancer Institute, Chennai; M.N.J. Cancer Institute, Hyderabad and C.M.C Vellore. And the institute is also working towards bringing up a placement cell in the future.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its a three-year programme, so the fee amount was divided into three years. For the first I paid around 1.5lakh, then around 1.25 lakh for the second and third years respectively. So in total, the fee was somewhere near 4 lakh.

Campus Life

Our institute gives much importance to extracurricular activities, especially sports. There used to be the occasional cricket tournaments too. Cultural activities are not given as much emphasis but I know that they have been trying to improve it in the past years. They are also planning to build the necessary infrastructure for cultural and sports activities( both indoor and outdoor). We also have many students from different parts of India and this gave us an opportunity to expand our communication skills and be familiar with the traditions of many parts of our country.

Admission

Nowadays there is an all-time high in the need for better healthcare facilities and radiotherapy is such an important area that has the scope of showing many more job opportunities in the future. I have always wanted to be a radiotherapist. So once I had completed my MBBS I applied to some institutes and Kidwai was one among them. Their admission procedure basically involved an All India entrance test (conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences) followed by a counselling process. The other prerequisite was an MBBS degree and a registration with any state medical council. Alternatively, there is also a university entrance exam through which the seats remaining after the above process is filled. So one can try that way too.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties are very professional and dedicated in what they do. Their commitment to training us and guidance in every aspect of academics and practice had benefited me to a large extent in reaching a good position once I passed out from there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that even if all the jobs are replaced by ai even the ai doctors are working in the hospital so even if everything is replaced by ai the pharmacy can't be replaced by ai because we need to study on what disease are coming and what medicine is required to overcome that so we create the medicine which the ai can't do this is the main thing what made me join this course

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is much related to its aspects. I choose this only because I could not crack NEET exam . And also I was not interested in engineering, so finally I opt B pharm . Not yet preparing for the real world applications or further academic, but they provide basic knowledge that is required for particular times. Can provide more relevant knowledge about the real world and give examples to provide more knowledge. Really very difficult to cope up with the timings of only 3 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1st i opted for b.pharm but once i got to know about pharm.d it shifted my focus, well Pharm.D is much bigger and deeper course as compared to b.pharm and m.pharm, there is an subject (pharmacotherapy) which is exclusive only for pharm.D , the course will bring in depth knowledge about drugs, manufacturing, storing, pharmacokinetics and dynamics, one thing i'd like to change is the practical knowledge, i would like to add more in depth practical knowledge, more exposure to the students in every aspects needed. The course is too big but with proper guidance and knowledge it feels easy.
