Government First Grade College was established in the year 1991 by the Govt. of Karnataka. It is affiliated to Mangalore University and accreditation by University Grants Commission (UGC) & National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It offers Bachelor’s courses in Arts, Business Management, Social Work, Science and Commerce streams. The faculty of college is well qualified and experience in the field of education.
The college has all necessary facilties like Library and Information Centre, udio visual Room/Mini Auditorium, spacious Computer Laboratory, Sports and Games facility. The college is having one NSS unit consisting of 100 volunteers and special camp is conducted every year along with other regular activities.

- The college is located in the middle of the environment so it is very suitable for learning.
- Due to the low fee, it is convenient for everyone to pay.
- A peaceful place with no vehicular noise or any other kind of disturbance.
Dislikes
- Being a government college, the teaching staff is less. This makes learning a bit difficult.
- There is no water system due to lack of electricity during rainy season. Sometimes there is no water even in the toilet.
- To go to college one has to climb 2 hills, and the bus system is very poor.
Admission:
The laboratory is very much better than the other private colleges in our town. And before joining i heard only positive shade of this college. This made me to join this college.... And the environment is just awesome.

- Teachers and students bonding and friendly teachers.
- Teachers they helps and support all subjects.
- Teachers teaching methods. Teachers very good.
Dislikes
- Library facility improved for the students.
- Sports activities improved for students.
- Social activists for students and they are very interested.
Admission:
I can directly go to the college and admited. No I don't rejected other college. I am NEP first bach. I applied through the UUCMS application. It's first time we use this application. Our addmission details fees payment all in the UUCMS.
Admission:
The lecturers were good, and also our building was constructed newly. There is no bus facility available in our college though… But one thing I like the most is that they value knowledge more importantly than marks and also the co-operation of our faculties. Thus, my overall experience was very good.
